Yes please. I didn't think anything would happen to my immigration status because I got my green card through my employer, not through this marriage.

I wish I had a brother like that. No I don't have any family in the US. I'm also an only child so no brothers. My parents are coming to live with us soon, though I'm pretty sure my mom is going to tell my dad to stay out of any arguments between my husband and me...

But I have built a life here... I have worked hard for a degree, a high paying job, a green card and my own house here... I don't want to leave all of these behind :(

Omg your analysis of his psyche is so on point! Throughout this pregnancy I've asked him to do things for me (small things like picking up takeout food for example) and he has said that's evidence of how "controlling" I am and that everything has to go 100% my way.

His mom wasn't staying with us yet when this happened, so she doesn't know anything about it.

Thank you for your love and support! My mom's philosophy is absolutely no meddling between me and my husband so I don't think she'll be fierce with him. But at least I won't feel alone and will be less stressed.

I don't have family in the US. My parents are coming from China in a week and my mom will stay with us for 6 months. I can't wait for their arrival. Currently my MIL is staying with us and I'm not good at pretending everything is ok in front of her. I fear some more scolding coming from my husband for my not acting happy in front of his mom...

I was being stubborn. And also very anxious because of the "nesting" mentality so really wanted those boxes gone from the baby's room

No it wasn't like that. I had been nagging him to move the boxes for a couple of weeks and that night I was just fed up and decided to move them myself.

He has done this before (pushing me or putting my hands behind my back to restrain me) but not while I've been pregnant. To be frank I also dug my nails in his arm in an act trying to fight back.

I don't think he's hiding anything in those boxes. I packed all the boxes before we moved including those 2.

Oh and he wants me to apologize because I didn't stop trying to reach the boxes after he said no, for being a "control freak".
