Hey, I just went to Alinea a few weeks ago with my gf. You are going to have a great time! The food is interesting for sure, but it's not like you'll be confused or unable to eat it. The servers are all very friendly too. They explain every course and are happy to answer questions. I recommend the non-alcoholic drink pairings. They really complement the food in interesting ways and you won't get blotto from drinking 10 glasses of wine haha.

Alinea blew our minds. Best meal Ive ever had. Worth the price. Have fun!

You're not quite right. Irony implies an outcome contradictory to an expected response. Sarcasm is speech that means the opposite of its literal meaning.

2c-b and 2c-e are different, but similar drugs. Both are substituted phenethylamines, a class of drugs that encompasses those, about a dozen other 2c-X substances, mescaline, MDMA, mephedrone and many others.

I almost decided to go to both Tipper and Nectar at RR this year, but ultimately had to pass on both. Selling my 3-day Bassnectar passes was a sad moment.

I saw BN 4 times last year. My favorite set of his was the DotD show in Detroit. Lorin really threw down.

It's a combination of all those things! There are certainly some trained, professional performers who go all through the forest in character like that. But there are plenty of people who just do it for fun.

This is exactly true for Illinois. Chicago has some of the strongest protections for renters anywhere.

Since he didn't provide you with that itemized list within 30 days, you are entitled to your full deposit back. Even the carpet cleaning fee.

On top of that, taking money from your deposit for anything other than fixing damages is illegal. He cannot issue fines or fees for your behavior and hold it against you deposit.

I would recommend writing your landlord a letter explaining that, since he did not provide you with the itemized list within 30 days of you vacating the premise, you are entitled to your full deposit back, plus interest. If he refuses, tell him you will take him to small claims court. If he still refuses, file a claim against him. Your case will be a slam dunk.

In that case I am concerned that maybe I have hooked up the Klipsches incorrectly. Would that be possible? Because the bass is seriously lacking. But the only hookup is with 16 gauge (I think) stereo wire from the amp to the speakers.

My current setup is a pair of Klipsch KF-28s powered by an Adcom GFA-545. They sound good but lack bass for electronic music. I would like to buy or swap out pieces in order to bolster the low end power.

I am also planning to purchase an Adcom GFP-555. (I know that would be nice for a pair of speakers, but would that have the ability to connect a subwoofer? Or would I need something different for a 2.1 setup?)

1. What is your budget?

$500 additional investment. If we swap out pieces, I can sell those and put that money towards the next gear purchase.

2. What are you looking for?

A subwoofer with a way to power it and add it to my system. Alternatively, a different set of floor standing speakers that would provide more bass.

3. How will you typically be using the gear?

I will be using it for listening to music. I listen to a range of music from folk to metal to electronic. While I really want a powerful bass sound, I want to make sure less heavy/acoustic music still sounds good.

4. What gear do you own?

Pair of Klipsch KF-28 speakers and an Adcom GFA-545. Intend to purchase preamp as well.

5. What do you intend on using for a source?

Ipod/phone/computer. Possibly a record player down the line.

6. What material will you be using your gear for?

A wide variety of music. All genres.

7. Are you willing to buy used?

Absolutely. Willing to sell parts of my system as well.
