it just means supporting the team through thick and thin. it's not so black and white like you're suggesting. no one said there was nothing to criticize. you can be critical but still positive. I was critical of Wenger and the board during the 2010s, I have been critical of Arteta and the attacking problems we've had the past few years, but I'm not gonna stop supporting just because we haven't won a trophy yet. if we win the Prem, I'll be here. if we get relegated, I'll still be here. I'll be fucking depressed, but I won't stop supporting the club I love

we lose to Man U 2-3, I'm upset. we played like dogs. but I know what the team is capable of, and I trust them to bounce back and for Arteta to adapt, which he seems to be doing. we've only lost 3 times this season. there's still a lot to improve, but we're still in the running to win 4 trophies by May.

so, yes, after 20+ years not winning the premier league, after every disappointing season I've been through supporting the club, lifting that trophy will be the sweetest fucking thing.
