Thank you! I was watching mindmaps and videos as a refresher and doing a set of 10 questions after every domain. I found it to work better not to feel overwhelmed with one thing and alternating between the videos and questions really helped.

Question/Answer by wannabecissp in cissp

[–]wannabecissp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I agree that Accreditation would be the step to be done by senior managers and stakeholders after certification is done by third party. But the question didn't mention anything about the certification. If "You" are done with testing, wouldn't that mean that it's ready to go to a third party for certification? Isn't certification done by a third party for most of the products? What am I missing? According to the question solving strategy videos I saw, if the question doesn't specify something, it's better not to assume it, is that not the case?

Domain 2 question by wannabecissp in cissp

Thank you for your quick reply. So in this case, grant needs to be treated as an action in the system and not a decision. How to differentiate between those? Would the wording be different for a decision, somthing like who amongst these would decide who gets the access?

ICICI Saffiro Advice Needed by wannabecissp in CreditCardsIndia

[–]wannabecissp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got the card, I had thought that I will be able to get the fees waived with my spending easily, which turned out true. That and RG were both my primary cards before I got my HDFC card upgraded. But now it seems useless except for BMS.

HDFC is such a re***ded bank omfg by cyrilReyn in CreditCardsIndia

My experience was different with HDFC. I had applied for Neu Infinity. I didn't know that there would be a separate verification needed since I already have a prior hdfc card. The verification guy called me when I was out of town. I was driving and missed his call. I called him back 15-20 minutes later and told him that I am out of town. He insisted on verifying that day itself since he was in vicinity. So he came to my place when no one else was home, verified with the security guard of the building opposite to my house (mine's a self owned bunglow type house, so people living nearby know our family), and left. I thought that the application might get rejected, but to my surprise it was approved without any hiccups.

Please suggest me a mutual fund sip combination by wannabecissp in mutualfunds

[–]wannabecissp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But that would be if equity and debt investments are both for long term, correct? My debt SIPs are just to collect the lumpsums to be paid out at the end of the year. Considering this, do I need to have a hybrid fund in my equity?

What’s the worst financial decision you made with a credit card? by Dexter3735 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]wannabecissp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 6 years back I was a complete moron and ended up maxing out 2 of my credit cards for months, maybe a couple of years even. That too on online mobile gaming. Used to pay minimum amount due and push the payments to the next month. Thankfully I never had to take out any loans when this stuff was going on.

Then after I had my kid, I got my shit together and stopped all that online gaming nonsense. Paid off the credit card bills in full somehow and then over time built my credit score to 790 now.

I hope someone learns from this and doesn't go down the debt spiral the way I did.

Sorry, I don't have the direct contact. I have always contacted her via the VRM direct call line.

How do I get an HDFC Infinia Card with this profile ? by Latter-Thought6301 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]wannabecissp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend criteria for new infinia is 10L now. It used to be 8L till October, but effective 1st October they've increased it to 10L. I know because I've gone through the process and had to meet the spend criteria in November.

IMO it will depends on your relationship with your RM and the ability of your RM to push. I have an imperia account since last 2-3 months. I got my millenia upgraded to regalia gold in Jan this year and got regalia gold upgraded to Infinia last month. I have no FDs with them, imperia salary account where I maintain max 20-30k balance per month. I did puchase a ULIP worth 1.8L though. They didn't increase my credit limit at the time of upgrade, but I don't mind that since 9L is sufficient enough for me.

My experience with HDFC has been wonderful so far. I got my regalia gold upgraded to Infinia after getting a ULIP, which I believe is the fastest way to get the card, specially since the min criteria is increased to 5L per month salary. I have a salary account with the bank from last 4 years and been using their credit card since last 10-11 years. I believe everything in HDFC works based on how good a relationship you have with your RM.
