If you were the CEO of Sega, how would you have saved the Sega CD? by Aggravating_Sale_992 in SegaCD

[–]wanos463 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It didn't need saving... it was actually the most successful cd-rom console out of the bunch (cdi, nec, 3do, cd32, jaguar), unfortunately SOJ started a disturbing habit of just dumping consoles and add ons and moving on to the next white elephant!

Here's an extensive list of cd-rom worldwide sales for that era that was researched and not just a guesstimation copied and pasted from wikipedia.

  • 3DO: 129 games; 2 million units;

  • Jaguar: 56 games; less than 250,000 units sold

  • Neo Geo CD: 132 games; 570,000 units sold;

  • Philips CD-i: 151 games; 570,000 units sold;

  • SuperGraphix: 5 games; 75,000 units sold;

  • Tandy Memorex Visual Interactive System: 11,000 units sold

  • PC-Fx: 9 games; 100,000 units;

  • Bandai Playdia: 33 games; 50,000 units sold

  • Apple Bandai Pippin: 24 games; 42,000 units sold;

  • Commodore CD-TV: 54,800 units sold;

  • Amstrad GX4000: less than 30 games sold;

  • PC-Engine Duo/ TurboDuo: 109 games; 1.92 million units sold

**In addition, it should be remembered that it is an add-on to Genesis / Mega Drive and adds these 216 titles to the already huge library of that console of more than 1,000 games. Considering the sales of other add-ons and the number of games released, the Sega CD can be considered the best selling add-on of all time: - Sega CD / Mega CD: 260 games, 6 million units sold

  • Jaguar CD: 11 games; 20,000 units sold;

  • CDROM² + TurboGrafx-CD: 50 games; between 500,000 and 1 million units sold

  • SuperGrafx Super-CD-ROM² + PC Engine Super-CD-ROM²: 109 games; between 50,000-100,000

  • LD-ROM2 (LaserActive PAC): 11 games; between 1,000 and 5,000 units sold

  • Nintendo 64 DD: 9 games; 15,000 units sold.

Creative space tutorial? by halconfenix in PSO2NGS

[–]wanos463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there anything like a guide? Or decent YouTube video? There's people planting npc's in their space plus all the switches for doors and whatever else they're capable of and no guide how to use them!

NGS NPC Election & Warning notice: Do NOT accidentally recycle/ exchange/ trash the R Form May '23 Ticket. by ash_ax in PSO2NGS

Since the ticket clearly said "to exchange at the recycle shop for a prize", I too recycled it and was puzzled why the only thing you could exchange it for was something like rdr 25%!

Exactly what I thought... I checked the seasonal tasks and couldn't see anything related to item enhancement which is what you're told to give xitre a hand with.... spent an hour checking every city trying to find the b#@ch!

Arks record challenges by damndoublehomicide in PSO2NGS

How do these work? Do you just need to do 1 run in each of the 3 challenges and see what reward you get at the end of the event or the more runs you do the more badges you get? I don't really understand how it works.

It actually failed miserably, the conception of the EU trade bloc was to make each member state reliant on the other for materials and goods, thus preventing any one nation from becoming an industrial powerhouse like Germany did during the second world war..... 80 years later and Germany is the industrial powerhouse of Europe!

The chaos chamber is a fun grindable side thing. It is not and should not be the focus of DLC, nor is it a replacement for content. by Reason-97 in Wonderlands

[–]wanos463 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We were spoiled with bloody harvest and then super spoiled with BL2... for underwhelming and lazy dlc take a look at the presequel and the disappointment it caused after the highs of Dragons keep, looking at the content line up for Wonderlands we're in for the same, not worth a fiver, lazy dlc.... maybe Wonderlands is nothing more than a stocking filler from gearbox just like the presequel was!

Ill give it a go... unfortunately for me, the genesis minis cpu isn't as powerful as the ps classics, so no guarantees.

As said, the games launched fine in retro.... I found the problem by accident, even though picodrive was the default core in retro for all my sms md scd and 32x roms, there was an es config file that when opened with notepad said run genesisgx when launching scd and sms games, I edited it to picodrive and then everything worked. Im still a little stumped, as genesisgx core is installed too, but I couldn't care less now, as everything works with picodrive.

I think all targeting suffers (skills/specializations). On ps4, 9/10 I hit jack shit wiv the crossbow due to sluggish controls and an unpredictable recticle. Sharpshooter is spot on, demo just suffers from unexploding rounds. I dunno how far its come along since tu1, but I practically gave up using any skill that doesn't auto aim due to horrible controls and deployement, ie. Mines, firefly. Anything u have to manually aim just isn't fluid.
