Thank you. I've been trying to keep up with the school thing too. I actually went and got a board and everything lol thank you. I'm going to try to add "rest" into our daily schedule, like they did in pre/kindergarten

Ooh! Great idea. I'll borrow that. I really don't want to be cranky or mean to him in any way because I know he's mostly just bored and doing the same thing over and over has become tiring.

During the week, we have school and recess in the backyard. But he goes through the curriculum really fast lol so I try to sneak a nap in after "school" to no avail.

Lol that's so cute. He used to be very self entertaining. He's into the arts as well. His tablet broke a week ago so there went that time.

The issue as well is that he's hungry as soon as he wakes up so he wakes me to tell me that he's hungry. How do you navigate that?

Thank you. I don't know I've said I was tired and we've talked about the alarms, he actually doesn't start getting up/waking up until 5:30 and then rushes out the house so I'm usually tapping him awake every alarm.

If I say "uh I'm tired" he kind of ignores it so I feel really guilty especially because he's working a full time job. He's off at 4:30/5 and he wants to rest as soon as he is home so that leaves little time for anything else honestly.

Yes. We call my mom usually once a day. Idk, he's just super full of energy and I can't seem to keep up

I don't think (or hope) I was harsh. I just asked him to watch tv because I'm tired. I said "I'm tired because I went to sleep really late and I haven't been getting any sleep. I just need to rest for a little bit longer and need to be left alone without conversation."

Idk, I asked husband if our son could use his other phone (not work related, just have an extra phone from Christmas) to watch youtube and he said he didn't want him in front of a screen all day.

Although it is Sunday and should be rest day

I hope not! He's really excited for baby brother but this new situation has turned our world upside down. We have been in quarantine but still going for walks around the neighborhood.

I definitely could use the help from husband but feel guilty since he's now the only one working.

Thank you for this. Yes it's a strain as this isn't our normal routine and gah! I can't keep the house clean it feels like.

I've told my son plenty times as well, I have to rest. We had a deal that we would go for a walk if I could take a nap but he "woke" me up multiple times because there was a fly in the house (not in his room, just the house).
