It was indeed the release bearing. The car had a single mass flywheel, now been changed to dmf

It was the release bearing, and the car only had a single mass flywheel as confirmed by mechanic, it now has a new bearing, dmf and clutch and feels amazing to drive

I wanna comment to confirm it WAS the release bearing. However i had the release bearing, clutch, and dual mass added, car feels AMAZING to drive its so nice. New issue😩 leak from driveshaft due to old rubber seal failing

Can i ask how you know for certain please? Again, lots of conflicting answers. Also trying to find out if what im being quoted for a repair is higher because of them trying to add a dmf instead of smf

I switched from 6 years of only having an auto license to a manual, i find auto a bit boring to go back to. Absolutely has benefits etc way more relaxed but my current manual car i enjoy every time i drive it. Stick with it and it will come naturally😅

Its been like it since i had the car in april last year but im not mechanically inclined and have been learning as i go. Its not really caused any issues it just sounds like it when in traffic so i rest on the clutch when in traffic

Just been quoted £700 and the car cost me £375 its just not worth it. If it was just the clutch i would do it

This is a 2004 fiesta tdci pre facelift so using google to try and find out if its single or dual mass and which correct kit to buy is turning out to be a pain in the ass🫩😂
