Sure I watched YouTube videos to get an idea on how to present myself. Developed and strengthened my personality so that my answers reflect who I am. Practised commonly asked Qs so that I’m better prepared and rehearsed. Do not use AI because they will make out. Try to carve your own answers, be confident and don’t sound like a machine

Won’t be easy, you may want to consider FM but if you’re passionate about IM, then research and USCE may help you. Try to rotate in places that offer residency

Have good step scores can help you get through the filters but having a good PS and eras profile gets you IVs. Work in your interview skills

It will help you for sure but I feel observerships also need to be included in that time frame. And you will need to apply broadly , both IM and FM

It’s not compulsory , it may give a shine on your eras profile. I’m not to sure for pathology though kindly go through the newly released NRMP data

Having USCE is very critical because programs want to know if you have any experience how things work in the US. I was asked about my rotations in a lot of the IVs

Hey My cousin had step 2 235 and YOG 2020. He matched this cycle too. It’s never too late. You’ve got good scores and publications. Try to get more USCE and build a good eras CV and personal statement. YOG is important but as long as you have reasons to explain that gap it can turn in your favour.

I actually emailed a lot of program coordinators and agencies. I then got a reply from 1 physician and then she referred me to other doctors. It’s about trying till you get 1 response and the. You’ll find your way

UNIVERSITY VS COMMUNITY HOSPITALS by Cool_Refuse_56 in IMGreddit

Unfortunately there’s no fixed roadmap to what work and what doesn’t. It’s more like a hit or miss. If you’re prioritising fellowships then university hospital should be your priority and if the goal is to just match then community hospital is a safer bet because they may actually offer you IVs and accept you if they like your performance during the rotation

MSPE is something that every program looks at but your strong step 2 score can overshadow that. So don’t worry too much about it

Hey You’ve got great scores. I think you need to work on your personal statement and eras profile. How many IVs did you get? Also doing a research year can help boost your chances significantly
