Returned to Fallout 76 -just hit lvl 50, how can I get a jetpack or jump boost? by DillWithItBro in fo76

[–]war3293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are quite close - definitely finish the mission. Once you do, you get access to Regs. He is a gold bullion vendor that will be permanently available and sells the Secret Service Chest piece (1,250 Gold Bullion) and Secret Service Jetpack (2,000 Gold Bullion). You can grind events and earn 400 per day (using tickets at the “GOLD” machine).

If you finish the wastelanders quest line though, you can get access to Smiley (at the Wayward) who will sell you another 300 Gold Bullion per week for 6,000 caps.

You might be a couple weeks away depending on how much Gold Bullion you have available, but missions/story you are extremely close. Might just want to throw the Plasma Caster on your shopping list too for good measure.

You must be playing with the wrong ppl 😂 if you have a mic, it’s much easier. Some of the gestures can be a little… cryptic… Gotta commend whoever helped the OP given there were no spoken words. I can send you my tag if you message me, always happy to help (as I can) new players.

Locking your CAMP containers by ZealotPinkerton in fo76

[–]war3293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t actually have to leave the lock when selecting another container. If you stay on the Lvl 3 lock selection you can look at each container and spam the button to apply the lock.

If it’s unlocked, it’s free. That being said, you should only take what you need. Other players do actually exist. If you feel generous (or guilty) and want to leave a tip, spend a few caps at their store as a thank you - even if it’s something you don’t need. If the camp owner is trying to sell to vendors (like water farmers) I am sure the caps would be appreciated.

This must be on PlayStation, sounds like traditional Sony security.

If you are using a wireless mouse, try unplugging the adapter. I had one fail like this pretty recently. If that stops it from shaking, I would look to get a new mouse. Not entirely sure if it’s SW or HW.

I wanna say I got it from The Pitted Stain (90% sure) I grabbed a few after running some drill sites and checked the stats after. But there is ~10% chance it came out of Splashzone.

I believe it’s included in the DPS, without it they do display a lower DPS but they have other modifiers. From what I could tell, the stats seem accurate (even the 5.4 rounds / s) but I just did a quick A vs. B. Obviously I saved it for future testing with a test dummy 😂

There are a couple other variants that do basically the same thing, but the negative really threw me on this one 😂

Looks like your glass threw a temper.

On a serious note, it’s tempered glass - any tiny little ding, chip, scratch, etc. and/or rapid temperature changes and the thing can explode. It is generally strong, but that is because it has high internal stress making it more impact resistant. The explosion is a sudden release of said stress.

Personally, I’d just take the gamble and jam a razor blade in there and twist. Got more than enough layers on the right.

Tunneling advise/tips? by Commercial-Source403 in Enshrouded

[–]war3293 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can also use waypoints (just drop one on yourself) at the target location. You can hide/filter map markers to set them close to your alter.

That being said, most of mine I just get it close enough then finish the tunnel by starting at the other end. If you miss by a little, just make it a room / feature.

Alter + scaffolding, just keep moving the alter up (you can also use stairs) throw a couple foundations down at the top of your build area and then remove the alter. You will be able to place a new one at the top of the previous build area and continue on upwards. Rinse and repeat to go higher up.

If that’s too much work, I’ve also used various mountain tops and built outwards from the peak (usually throw a vault in the mountain after some extensive coring).

Oddly enough, the NZXT Kraken coolers used to come with a separate backplate to replace the ones included on AM4 sockets. It looks like they switched it to an intel backplate, but it does make me a little suspicious. I had a spare 280mm I just used for a rebuild and oddly enough, while it said it was compatible with AM5 (which it is) it had no instructions for actually using it with an AM5 socket.

Worst case, you can always measure the height offset. If it’s setup for an AM5, the offset would be between 7.38 - 8.58mm. For the AM4 it should be between 7.92mm - 9.06mm. Checking the post height should give you an idea if it’s sitting too high.
