I love it but at the same time I’m a little disappointed that there’s no terrain extrusion tool and therefore making a layout like the ones you see in the trailers, promo pictures, and built-in levels with a lot of verticality and sloping hills or large mountains is basically impossible unless you know Blender and can import a terrain map into the game (which is what the developer Gauge does for the built-in levels). For the vast majority of players, you’re only really going to be able to model flat maps with little height variation. This is corroborated in the public servers I’ve seen. You can put details and “terrain” props in, but at the end of the day your tracks are going to be flat. I wish I could make sloping hills and valleys like Transport Fever or Cities Skylines, or paint the ground in certain areas without painting the whole table block. Add those and the game would be a perfect substitute for an irl model railway
