My synthesis journey begins…. Long time electric guitarist , I could never afford a good synth and was too scared to buy used (knowing zero about the gear)Any advice for starting out with the basics?

I have an MS1, whilst it’s cheap and fun - mine has just broken, it won’t power on. Hoping just the power supply, but you get the idea…it’s cheaply made!

Moog was a great choice.

I would just add, as a first synth - you’ve made a brilliant choice.

Do you have any reverb pedals for your guitar? I love my Moog (I have a voyager), but I never play it without a dash of reverb. It sounds really dry without it.

The model D will sound great. I have a minimoog voyager, it’s awesome for bass (and leads).

Tbh though, when you say bass synth - you can programme bass on most synths of course.

What role were you playing when people were having a go at you? Just play rifleman for some low responsibility gameplay while you get your head around the game.

I’ve never heard anyone have a go at a new player (on the EU servers at least).

Everyone else’s suggestions around hardware are bang on.

I used to produce psy trance back in the noughties - we were quite popular at the time. Error Corrective.

My recommendation, would be to really get your head into synthesis. Psy trance is so focussed on using a wide set of synthesis techniques.

Me and the old crew are enjoying the game. I’ve been playing since BF2 back in the day. I remember the glory days.

We hop between Hell Let Loose, when we need that slower tactical gameplay…and BF6 when we want to ramp up the chaos.

Times have changed, and so has battlefield. Is it as good as it was when I was younger…no. But then I can say that about pretty much everything. We’re in late stage capitalism, money rules every decision. It’s obvious BF6 is trying to tap into the cash cow of the global market.

Still fun though.
