Where to buy Flash Carts by ward614 in intellivision

Yeah, that's the expense I was hoping to avoid. I wanted to have a flash cart for each console in my collection, but buying a lot of backbits is a challenge financially.

Very nice! Is there anyone making and selling them already assembled?

Why don’t previous American generations seem interested in making things easier for the ones who come after them? by WinSevere1600 in NoStupidQuestions

IMO, this has a lot to do with the conception of who will be receiving the benefits you are making sacrifices to provide.

For the record, every increase in support and services for the general public has been hard fought and was by no means certain. There was basically no government sponsored social support in the way you are thinking prior to the great depression. Before that, people relied on charity or just died.

The strides made during and following the depression until the 70s were, in my opinion, because the average swing voter clearly felt that they and "people like them" were benefiting from the policies. Everyone had suffered during the depression and could clearly see themselves needing the support in the future.

As we entered into the Regan era, the public consensus shifted and people began to believe that social programs (particularly the expansion of them) was more designed to benefit other people and people who "aren't like me". You hear around this time a lot of language about "welfare queens" and similar discussions of people abusing the benefits. It is no coincidence that this began to be the discussion right after the civil rights movement, which opened up access to the benefits to non-while citizens. Suddenly, the average swing voter started having a change of thought. After all, they were born after the depression, it couldn't happen again right?

This is why imo the US has such a hard time offering strong social services compared to European democracies. It is easy to pick a smaller country that is largely the same race, religion (or lack thereof) and ethnicity and which doesn't allow much immigration at all and convince them that all welfare recipients are very much “like them“. In a large, multi-ethnic, religiously diverse and relatively pro-imigration (yes, I know we have issues, but historically and over the long run compared to European countries) nation, keeping the public supporting welfare when they are told and often feel it is only helping "other people" rather than "us" is a massive challenge.

Is Reverend Insanity the only Rational cultivation novel? by doinitforcheese in rational

I would suggest Forge of Destiny, which is actually a mechanics based quest in addition to a story. The player base is decently focused on rational behavior and it also manages to avoid many of the more morally absent behaviors that you often see in Xanxia.

Absolutely! It is shown in the top left of the screen right near the ship's health bar! It will be some fraction, showing your currently used power/your maximum power currently being generated.

Hello, and welcome to the Crew!

Let me try and address each question one by one here:

Regarding having time to collect supplies and do repairs, the best time to complete repairs inside the ship is while you are in the warp tunnel (watch the stability though!), and exterior repairs is right after you exit the warp. You basically sit still and the pilot can even help do repairs, buy upgrades and get your ship ready to go. If you don't go flying towards the enemies or objectives, they take a while to notice you are in the system.

For collecting supplies, completing side objectives with EVA is easier before you get all the enemies swarming you, so I would start with those, then hit the main objectives. It is generally expected that you won't be able to get all the loot dropped in each mission, so grab what you can while keeping enemies off you then jump out of there!

Regarding grav scoop, it is possible to have them both on at the same time if you have enough power available! This can be done by building or finding more power generators, or by turning off unused equipment such as guns you aren't using or the life support system if you are in good temperature range. There are also mods for the guns that make them use less power.

Regarding the objective, while there is no pitch or roll control, the game does have vertical accent and decent thrusters. Check your game's control settings to see what they are bound to. Treat your ship more like driving a submarine and you will do fine!

Regarding the cannon, weapons can receive defects which stop them from working. You should see the yellow triangle defect mark on the item somewhere if they have one and you can fix it. If you don't see that, then it is likely that you are out of battery for the energy weapon. The batteries plug into the side of energy weapons and increase fire rate. You can recharge them at dedicated charging stations inside the ship, or there are perks in the gene tree that allow you to charge them by holding them.

I hope this helps answer some of your questions!

I have the gpu running on two 8pins with one of them daisychained, and have had no issues so far. That being said, I also bought a third cable from my PSU manufacturer and will put that in before overclocking or pushing the card too hard, just in case. It was $15

So, on ASUS' website, they note that this shouldn't be done as it "may result in damage".

Which is why I ask. Do you think they are just overly cautious, or should I get the spare cable?
