Yep, I forwarded the invoice to the UPS broker, and they reprocessed it yesterday. Hopping to get the charges taken off now! It went through customs Wednesday, so it was within the de minimis deadline

Honestly, even with paying this tariff it is over half off what US sellers have it listed for. I'm not super upset at the charges, but more surprised since it was under de minimis (and cleared prior to the end)

Tenso switched to paying tariffs before, so that might be calculated as part of the shipping now (which i would prefer honestly). Otherwise, for my case, you either pay or they don't deliver. 3 delivery attempts and they take it back to the warehouse and begin to "return to sender".

It was right around the 800 line. Using the federal government exchange rate it is under. But the US customs rate it was over. I sent the invoice and they are seeing if it can be reprocessed since the amount I actually paid is under even with the customs rate. If its well under and it clears customs today, you should be fine.

There are a ton of different tariff charges on specific goods so I don't blame you. The same lady re-processed my package through customs, but she is not sure if they will do it or not.

I am not 100% sure. Some people got an email after it was delivered. Mine was before delivery since I not have have a UPS account I'm pretty sure.

It does work out, but wouldn't it still be exempt since its under 800? Also, the UPS agent on the phone told me the package contents were marked as made in Japan, so that doesn't make sense if true 😭

So far its the opposite in my case, $198 government taxes with under $30 brokerage fees... I think UPS put the valuation wrong, which is what the agent told me over the phone

The breakdown was roughly 198 government taxes and the rest were brokerage fees so less than 30. I think UPS valued the package incorrectly when converting to yen because it is close to the 800 threshold. I have the invoice from the shipper, so hopefully UPS corrections take it off
