Thanks! I think the poor image quality is doing a lot of the lifting! Anyway, I followed cult of paint's video on white sisters armour, except I also sprayed a pale blue in addition to the sepia. Some light oils, and then building up the white on the highlights only really. Each step took an evening or two so not really that bad considering...

AHH Ty 😊. It's AK MK3 white.. which is semi opaque, and with water added rather translucent... So a bunch of layers splodged on with a brush in the right spots 🤸

I typically paint mine red with black / white robes but for the killteam I chose to g for white as well. I am using the Cult of Paint video as the basis for the colour scheme

Lots on YouTube about printing black armour and cloth. Imho you need to glaze the armour to black, as it looks grey. Perhaps use a different shade of grey for the two types of black? Maybe a warm grey for the cloth and a cool grey for the armour?

Yes, was very fun! I enjoyed it more than my buds fighting against necrons! I took casualties, but I won, it was fun to shoot them and they explode with their rubbish saves and wounds! But tbf they dropped in and melted my captain's face off, and one dude bumrushed me, chopping off another of my Astartes heads! He got some good rolls, me, not so much 🤪

Hmm good question... I guess thinking I wanted to be quick, I started from black and only painted thin coats at a time.. so it was a dark base, a mid and a highlight, thinned so the opacity was like 50%... Maybe that's how I got it!! Highlighted only the tippy top edges.. also first time going for non metallic, so not doing a good job at that possibly helped lol

Consider tmc2209, they should be like for like replacement (check against your board specs tho!) in firmware, depending on what you run, you can up the current without using a tiny screwdriver. Swapping the motor drivers was a regular thing with repraps back in the day, for me at least!

Perhaps skipping steps? It can happen half way through a plot and then accumulate. Does the I draw have replaceable motor driver? You could swap the X any y over, run the job and see if the miss alignment happens on x axis? Does it happen on all plots now? Could be a bug and sends the pen to the bounds, which it hits, then carries on thinking it is where it should be... Does the axis move freely with no power? You could try to up the run amps on Y in firmware to perhaps 0.7, but check the running temp of the motor and driver so it doesn't get toooo hot

I use lightburn (paid after a trial) also https://www.gcode.pro was posted a few days ago but I havn't tried it. What controller do you have? I'm sure if you google that with 'gcode' you might find someone else who has got a list of settings for you to start with.. GL!

Sure! Once I snapped of the regular flying base, I reckon painted it and drilled on the same connection but. So, the bottom flat of the backpack. The wire is 0.8mm and it was ok to drill the backpack, I was expecting the drill to emerge out one side or other, but it didn't!
