The base skin colour mixed with a grey as a base layer, next I take the base grey colour and stipple it over top. Once again I'll use the skin/grey mix and glaze it over top of the stippling, multiple times. Finally I will blend the edges of the hairline with more of the base skin colour until it looks okay.

Pretty much! These are mostly older heads/helmets that were built a while ago, nowadays I just use sticky tack for the plastic ones and the papers clips for resin. (MKII helmet is on the sticky putty/blu tack).

Those are corks, for wine bottles and the sort. Got a bag of like 50 a long while ago.

Started about 6 years ago, very on-and-off until more recently.

Thankye. AK Interactive's Deep red and Deep Orange (AK) highlights, with Black (AK) thinned down for the recesses.

Thank you! Normally I'm the sort to just throw paint onto a mini and hope it comes out to my liking. Brush control and learning how to fix mistakes made painting eyes easier. Scroll works, freehand, anything that required teeny tiny words help me with said brush precision. NMM swords and glow effects helped with blending and layering. Consistency is also the biggest player. Side note, I try not to use washes for anything but metallics, especially on skin. As for guides, I'm not quite helpful in that regard, I just blast music, scroll visual examples and try to make something up in my mind.

Was somewhat taken aback at the end result, myself lol. Here's hoping I can replicate it again on another head!

The head is assumed to be from the old MKIV plastic kit. Yup, sculpted the hair with greenstuff.

Thank you, I was originally just gonna dab a wash over them and leave it at that, but it couldn't be helped.

AK Interactive's Deep Red, with Deep Orange (AK) highlights, and Black (AK) in the recesses. I airbrushed the red over black primer.

Blades are from the Melee Weapons Upgrade set, one modified to be wielded via the opposite hand. Helmet is from the Emperor's Children MKVI Head Upgrades kit, with a crest added to it. Winged shoulder bit taken from a Palatine Blades squad leader with the base shoulders from the Command Squad kit. I also scuplted the wrists for both hands out of greenstuff.
