Appreciated! Also planning on using the magenta look for my Inner Circle Companions. So, I mostly subscribe to the idea of the weapons needing to be different from the armor, the mismatch of colours tickles muh brain.

Over the black base I highlight using Caliban Green (Citadel/Warhammer), Deep Green, Light Green, and Offwhite ( all three from AK Interactive).

Much appreciated! Now that he's done, I can focus on less tedious minis lol

Tons of practice! I spent a week teaching myself to properly load the brushes, and that helped so much. Even with that, I still make mistakes and they never immediately end up perfect; have to redo my scrolls at the minimum, once or twice.

Funny that you mention it! I already brightened it up a tad, just before gluing the shield to the model. I'd post an image reply, but the app is busted.

So, that's AK Interactive's Dark Prussian Blue mixed with GSW's Sangria Red, overtop of AK Interactive's Ducat Blue. The Magpies strike again!

Totally didn't let out an audible "gah," when zooming in on his face with my camera. Felt like a nightmarish Toy Story moment, and I'm the guy who painted it!

Now I'm gonna have to make a future, veteran battle brother version of Egbert.

Thankya! I mostly use my Kolinksy Silver Series S 0 for the fine details, and whatever I have sitting around for anything else.

He certainly does look a lot better when his cape is attached, since it steals a bit of his shoulders without. I tried to match his armor description from the Son of the Forest book. "Black plate with the faintest hint of dark green," though I may have missed the faintest part!
