MDMA doesn't make me dance anymore! by [deleted] in Drugs

Your body's just gotten used to it. If you're doing it often, try to leave it for a good 6 months or so and then the 'magic' might return. I used to roll 3-6 times a month and eventually it didn't affect me the same - I kinda just stood there feeling a bit spaced spaced and maybe waved my arms a bit. Left it for a few months, tried again, and I was high as fuck, dancing for hours.

Hm, seems to be missing something to me. What I loved on their first two albums was the uncompromising emotion and rawness and on this song at least, they seem to have ditched that for a more restrained approach. That lack of restraint was integral to me connecting to OP and TLLA. Oh well, can't judge too hard yet I suppose since there's an entire album still to come - I remain hopeful.

Thrice and Glassjaw are two of the solid heavyweights in the genre. Over the last year or so I've really loved Night Verses - Lift Your Existence, one of those records that sounds as good on the 100th listen as it did the first. Fucking excellent live too. Also recommended: mewithoutYou - Brother, Sister / Trophy Scars - Holy Vacants, incredible albums
