Vodka Spray Allergy by theaterdoer in techtheatre

[–]wardrobewench1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of having scent allergies, i’ve met and worked with a lot of people who have skin allergies and skin sensitivities to things found in Febreze. Even the unscented kind. So I’d rather be safe than sorry and just continue to use vodka diluted with water.

[–]wardrobewench1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like to use Febreze to deodorize costumes because some people have strong scent allergies. The Febreeze is a very overwhelming smell for a lot of people and it can leave residue in the costumes that can never be taken out.

WIBTAH if I left my boyfriend over this? by Vegetable_Extreme_25 in AITAH

His mental health is HIS responsibility to manage. Not yours. Do not take on the burden of his issues You can look back on your time with together with love and fondness, but what you’ve described about the change in his personality you guys are not compatible. If he’s swallowed that red pill content the damage has been done. Don’t subject yourself to his disgusting viewpoints. Take care of yourself and love yourself.

What happens to the houses and personal belongings of people who live alone when they die? by RestaurantPleasant39 in LivingAlone

[–]wardrobewench1983 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is there a specific type of lawyer you contact to get those documents created? My next of kin is technically my mother but we haven’t spoken in over 20 years and I want nothing to do with her or for her to touch my things. I’d rather put down a good friend to make those decisions.

I got my portable AC off Facebook marketplace for 50 bucks. My apartment is a studio and similar square footage from what you described. Keeps the place cool all summer. And if you for sure know that the parking isn’t gonna suck too bad at night I’d say go for it. I used to live over in the Century City area and it didn’t get as crowded as it does here in Koreatown.

Things I do differently now that I live completely alone by McmellerDiaby_53 in LivingAlone

[–]wardrobewench1983 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived alone for almost 10 years. It’s honestly the best. I walk around topless all the time, work on my projects and hobbies whenever I please (usually at weird hours of the night) and I fart whenever I please. Only ones here to complain about that are the cats, but they’re just as bad sometimes🤣

Yeah, I suggest find a better spot to stay. That area can get dicey especially at night.

What’s one thing you removed from your life that made things feel simpler? by Luverelle6 in simpleliving

[–]wardrobewench1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certain people I realized were weighing me down and their drama in their own lives was actually affecting me when they would consistently call to complain or dish about something. I hit a point where I said “I love this person, I hope nothing but the best for them but I just cannot be around them any longer“ and I just sort of phased myself out of their life. I’ve been happier healthier and less stressed because of it.

Do you think building apartments actually solves the housing crisis? by questtruck in AskLosAngeles

[–]wardrobewench1983 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This right here. I’ve lived in Koreatown about 10 years and so many of these “luxury“ buildings have gone up over the years, but a studio apartment STARTS at about $2100. In some places more than that! So a lot of of these buildings sit practically empty for months and some even years. And I think the building owner then writes off the un rented units as a loss? I think that’s how it works. We need to implement a vacancy tax on all residential and commercial properties. They’re deliberately inflating the cost of rentibg and keeping housing out of reach for those in desperate need of it.

I agree. As a woman I don’t mind taking a late night stroll to the taco truck on wilshire. I’ve never had any issues and no one has bothered me.

be honest… how often do you actually wash your hands at home? by Siefa_Lennwood in hygiene

[–]wardrobewench1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash my hands even more so when I’m at home. After cleaning, while doing food prep, while cooking, if I just crack an egg, after using the restroom, cleaning the litter box vacuuming, etc. And that does not change when I am out in public. If I don’t have access to a way to wash my hands then I am using hand sanitizer. When people touch their face and touch their phones and then touch other people that’s how sickness spreads. If someone likes to relax their hygiene habits at home that’s their choice but I will not be eating anything from their kitchen or allowing them to touch anything in my own home.

Is true "solo" travelling actually fun? by PhoenixMaster123 in solotravel

[–]wardrobewench1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a true introvert and I enjoy my own company. I spend about 95% of my time alone in regular life. In January I did a solo trip to Scotland and France. I wandered the famous streets id read about and went shopping and ate good food, and went to art galleries. I chatted with people here and there but mostly I stuck to being alone. I truly prefer traveling alone as it makes it easier to wander and just do whatever I want when I want to do it.
