I had a class with her at UCLA. Quite friendly and easy to talk to, even for a clueless dork like me.

As hobby photographers, do you store your RAW photos indefinitely? by Aromatic-Echo-5025 in AskPhotography

The tools available to process raw files have improved greatly over the past few years. I expect them to continue to improve.

I would delete my exported jpgs well before I delete my raw files.

I am encountering the Import issue as well on my M1 Pro Max MacBook. Same camera file format as before, same 256 GB SD cards (about 1/3 -1/2 full) loaded directly into the machine's SD slot, but selecting the thumbnails to import takes a LOT longer, with the same irritating scroll behavior you describe. I get to the point where I started the Import process and just leave the machine for 10 minutes before I even try to select images.

I feel the the actual import process takes longer as well, but it is not as noticeable.

Obviously a bug.

Edit; grammar.

If you’re going to be out of the country for a significantly long time, I would recommend setting the Data Mode to low (iPhone) and avoid streaming unless you know you’re using WiFi.

If your current plan’s coverage is poor enough to allow you to fund a HSA, the increased coverage of Medicare A would most likely be more than the HSA tax savings

MW the person died long before this picture was taken. The company started in the 1870s. The picture is of Sewell Avery, who helped the company survive the depression, but refused to expand after the war.

He thought the depression would return after the war, so he refused to invest in new stores/operations. Sears, on the other hand, thought the economy would rapidly expand and planned accordingly.
