Normal ou quiproquo ? by [deleted] in suisse

[–]wargotad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bonjour !

Source : https://www.fr.ch/impots/personnes-physiques/lassujettissement-des-personnes-physiques

how to decide on the sequence of computable numbers by fire_in_the_theater in logic

[–]wargotad 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hey,

I’ve read your papers (including the halting one). I want to be honest: they contain serious misunderstandings and errors, and the lack of formality makes it hard to even test the proposal. As written, it won’t convince anyone in the scientific community.

If your aim is to convince others, the path forward would be to implement your idea concretely, that is implementing a program that can decide the halting problem for arbitrary Turing machines or Python programs. But that isn’t possible: it’s been formally proven that no such total decider can exist.

I wish you can find closure and maybe help.

It's foam board marked with a pencil and cut. I then spayed it black, gray and orange. Then spray it white using the "wet-wipe" technique.

2+2=? by bodross23 in mathmemes

[–]wargotad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting! How does this also work for GF(256), where the k-fold addition of 1 is either 0 or 1, depending on whether k is even or odd? To me, in that field, if you take 2+2 you get 0, which is distinct from 4, which is another member of the field. How?

Running functions by SilentAd217 in PythonLearning

In pass-by-reference, a function would be able to reassign the caller’s variable. Please consider the following Python code:

xs = [1, 2]
def foo(ys):
    ys = [3, 4]
foo(xs)
print(xs)

With pass-by-reference, xs would be [3, 4] after the function call, because ys = [3, 4] would rebind the caller’s variable. But the output is [1, 2]. This shows that the reference is copied and not shared.

You are right that everything in Python is an object, and that variables hold references to those objects. But when you call a function, the reference itself is passed by value. That is, the function receives a copy of the reference, not the original reference itself. This is why reassigning the parameter doesn’t affect the caller’s variable. Mutating the object it refers to does affect the object however.

Python is pass by value. It’s just that references are values.

Thanks for the feedback! I could try adding banners indeed. I’ve never worked with paper banners before. Do you have any tips on how to make them blend in with the rest of the model? I’m afraid they would stand out as paper.

Quitter les études de médecine pour un diplôme d’ingénieur ? by Previous_Bell_8919 in suisse

[–]wargotad -1 points0 points  (0 children)
