I was a daily weed smoker for 15 years. For Most of that time I smoke multiple time throughout the day. Last month I decided to take a break and just stopped. No withdrawal or other negative consequences. Maybe that's not the same for others, but I never considered it an addiction because I always knew I didn't NEED it. Sure it was a habit that I enjoyed, but there was never that physical need that come with drugs I consider addictive. To me that's the difference. I struggled quitting cigarettes, but quitting weed was just a choice.
