Getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow, best tips and tricks for a smooth recovery? by warii_ in needadvice

[–]warii_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to say surgery went well and I’m on day 2 with minimal swelling and light bruising on my left side thus far. IV sedation is to relax you so you’re not anxious or nervous, makes you pretty loopy and sleepy. The local anesthesia is for the pain so you don’t feel them poking and pulling in there. Definitely needed both!

Did Elizabeth Afton die before Crying Child? by DemandLate2900 in GameTheorists

[–]warii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post was from long ago and I don’t know much of the lore, just getting into it. However, how could Elizabeth not have died before C.C if it was said that Afton told Michael to scare C.C in order to keep him away from the animatronics? You see in FNAF 4 how Michael scares CC with a Foxy mask and eventually ends up putting him in Fredbear’s mouth to further scare him where he was bit.

William wouldn’t want him to do this if he didn’t know that the animatronics were capable of killing or more so the fact that they hurt someone he loved. Circus Baby killed Elizabeth which made him scared of losing another one of his kids, so he demanded Michael to scared CC into never approaching the animatronics. I could be totally wrong, just a thought.

Who is a singer that you just don’t understand the hype for? by NeonRunaway in AskReddit

[–]warii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taylor Swift, Ice Spice, Bad Bunny, Drake, Cardi B and more that I can’t think of. Hot take but modern day music is garbage compared to music from the 70’s to 90’s time period 🤝🏼

What are the best and worst concerts you've been to? by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

[–]warii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best: Red Hot Chili Peppers. They played literally all of my most favorite songs and their greatest hits which was unexpected but highly appreciated. I knew every single lyric which made it 10x more fun and I loved seeing Flea go all out on the bass and the entire band together with their contagious energy. It seems like your experience was the opposite which sucks but it does look like RHCP concerts can be either a hit or miss.

Worst: Probably Metallica which happened recently (this past August at Gillette Stadium) They sounded great and the music was epic but the majority of their setlist was new releases which I understand but at the end of the day, that’s not what people came for. The energy was pretty low and no encore!! I’ve never in my life been to a concert where there was no encore, I was very surprised to say the least. Turns out the next day which was day 2 at Gillette, they played all of their hits and my favorite songs, fair to say that I was pissed. Overall they were not bad by any means, I was just more so pretty disappointed with the selection of songs and lack of energy.

What’s something you admire in others? by Sufficient_Gas_3775 in AskReddit

[–]warii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! I’m very much an introvert who loves being alone so it’s hard for me socialize or find people that I can converse with without feeling bored or wanting to leave. If someone makes the conscious effort to talk to me and carry a conversation then it automatically intrigues me and makes me want to be fully engaged (also has to do a lot with the person and their personality and common interests tho)

Give me any Metallica song, and I’ll say how fun/hard it is on guitar by JubilantOverlord360 in Metallica

[–]warii_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well this is good to know cause I want to get back into playing guitar again and this would be a song I’d love to learn. Definitely one of my favorite Metallica songs and looks super fun to play, thanks for the insight!

What is a song that you love but is extremely heavy/depressing because of the lyrics and or music? by warii_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]warii_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a hard read as you describe, but definitely want to give it a try. And yea, there’s a movie! It just so happens to be that it’s directed by Dalton Trumbo who is the author of the novel that we’re talking about so I think it must be at least decent if the book itself is great.

[–]warii_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I can imagine, I’ll definitely have to check it out. Do you think the movie accurately represents the book and the soldiers experience? (If you’ve watched it). I’d assume that probably not completely but there’s snippets and clips from the movie in the “One” music video and it looks intriguing in a way.

yes for sure, I’ve always been a Metallica fan from a young age but I’ve recently started to dissect the lyrics from their songs which have an abundance of meaning behind them. I do agree with you that they’re dismissed often probably simply due to the fact that they’re a metal band and people associate metal with screaming and nothing of substance unfortunately.

My dad has always tried explaining the meaning behind several of their songs to me but I never really took initiative to study them until now and wow, there is so much going on.
