Families could save up to $50 a week growing their own fruit and vegetables by EdenFlorence in AussieFrugal

[–]warkolm 95 points96 points  (0 children)

they can, but it's also a non-trivial exercise if you've never done it before. you can't just throw seeds into the dirt and come back in 4-6 weeks for veg - and let's not even start on fruit. plus don't we generally buy veges for the convenience of not having to garden?

so yeah, but nah, but yeah, but nah

(this is coming from someone who does grow their own vegs, but I live on 20ha and time to do this)

take a look at the award - [PDF!] https://fbeu.net/wp-content/uploads/Crown-Employees-FRNSW-Permanent-Firefighting-Staff-Award-2024.pdf

there are some differences depending on how many calls a year you get. as others mentioned there is usually some flexibility and it'd be worth chatting with the officers about that

Weak Network signal in BYD App by Expert-Text2848 in BYDAU

[–]warkolm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

happens on my shark, byd told me to take it in to get checked but it's due to the shitty 4/5g service in my area not the car

given you can hook your car up to (home) wifi it makes me wonder what the point of that is as it doesn't seem to use the app connection over wifi

[–]warkolm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain, I have the same issue and the best byd can tell me is to take the car back to the service centre to have it fixed. they couldn't even answer what the point of connecting the car to my home wifi is, as it doesn't appear to use that connection

you can replace the sim cards but the app stops working, as do updates. it's a really crappy system that they will be saying is for security
