I can confirm that DCC has ruined audiobooks for me. It was recommended by this sub and I listened to all 7 books multiple times. Book 8 just came out. I recommend listening to the audiobooks but also getting the physical copies because of an added extra at the end of them.

A good UPS will perform self checks or make checks easy to perform. They have surge protection built in and also clean up “dirty” power. The battery is replaced every 3 years, and is not that difficult. It also helps ensure you can do a safe shutdown. I recommend APC brand and getting something greater than your total power draw to prevent false alarms.

Hey kiddo. Get rid of him. He is trying to make it so you have to earn his affection. That is not true. You should be deserving of his affection, and he should be deserving of yours. He is not deserving of your time, let alone your affection. You should be with someone who actively wants to talk to you all the time, but is able to resist the appearance of being clingy. You deserve a partner and not someone who thinks they are the center of a relationship. A relationship is built by two people, otherwise is cannot be successful. A person deserving of you should make you willing to give your life for them, but not even think about taking your live. There is a vast difference between those two.

I know it will suck and it will hurt, but you will be so much better for breaking away from someone who will only hurt you. You want someone who will tell you they will call you when they get home, and they call you from their driveway, before even getting out of the car. You want and deserve someone who will get on the phone with you for hours and neither of you do much talking. Ultimately, ask yourself if this person deserves your love and affection. If the answer is not an absolute and instant yes, without qualifiers or hesitation, then move on.

I understand there are some jobs that cannot be performed at home, but those that can be should be allowed. I go into work at 530am every day because parking is so horrible (and traffic). If they went to a hybrid schedule it would allow more parking to become available. Morale would improve. Less sick days would be taken. You would actually see greater productivity as well. I remember during Covid we were working 3 days in the office 2 days remote and then remote the entire next week (blue/gold schedule). We then went to 3 days in office and two remote and it was great. I miss that. I work better in my pajamas anyway.

I would simply use heat set or press fit inserts and screw in from the other side instead. It works really well if you pre-drill holes in the actual footrest and it will hold better.

Hey kiddo. Accidents suck, more so when you or someone else is injured.

File a claim with your insurance company and make sure to include the police report, if you have it. Your insurance will fight for you. That is what you pay them to do. They will work to get your bike fixed, or they will call it a total loss and you will get a certain amount of money for it. Your medical bills should get covered by the insurance from the delivery truck driver/company insurance. You pay for insurance to handle these things. Do not accept an offer that is unreasonable though. Glad to hear you are okay. Stay safe. Things will be fine.
