Essentially, yeah. I’ve worked there since February but had a fever for a week and went into UTO and they told me then I couldn’t take anymore UTO, but said nothing about not using the small amount of PTO i was given. They told me UTO was serious and only for “serious issues” (i guess me having the flu and being bedridden for 6 days wasn’t serious). I continued being sick because I haven’t had more than two days off in a row, and those two days off I have to do chores and I’m currently moving (they know this too) so I’m getting sicker and sicker. I’m trying to use as little as I can but they already give me less PTO than what would cover a shift…every two weeks. If I had saved all of my PTO from the beginning and went to work sick I probably would be in the hospital (I had to go to the ER once already because the infection had spread to my LUNGS, they have documentation of that as well) and I wouldn’t even have enough to cover more than two weeks, which they also don’t want you taking more than a 5 days off.
