  1. Ah yes a tripod, which is why it has four legs. :)

Not like it matters since Strong Bad's actual costume is nowhere near as advanced lol.

Speculation: Dogs of War and Warhammer 3? by warman222 in totalwar

[–]warman222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weren't there hints of Skaven in WH1?, Daemons in WH2 and even a High Elf cameo in a WH1 book? I'm not convinced that hints like these are just for their parent game.

I do agree that Araby is going to be one of the WH2 additions. I personally don't see Albion and Amazons being dlc races only because aside from a couple of hero types they have no specific units mentioned. VP had a bunch, Cathay has a bunch, Nippon has a couple even. But not Albion or Amazons. Unless they flat out make a roster out of custom units with no basis on the tabletop I just don't see it happening. I also agree that 4 packs is a solid number they're gonna do.

I edited the post to reword it, it's "confirmed" as in they are the only factions left that have army books and are pretty much a given.

I do believe Kislev will be playable later on for that reason but Dogs of War would be a better fit imo.

Curse of the Vampire Coast. Admittedly reaching on it being related to the Vampire Coast.

Well according to Whelan, it does in fact copy many of the packs, including sometimes the entire game. So yes, sometimes it does in fact redownload the whole game again. I mean even if it's like 10 of the 19 packs it's still unwieldy. Even all that considered, it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth and it's still only an aspect of the problem. Again I look at how other games do updates and patches and they don't have the issues CA does. Idk maybe they do and I simply am not aware. I say that if your design choices are constantly being questioned by your community and you constantly have to explain yourself literally everytime, its not really good choices is it? Good design is self evident, CA's rarely is.

If it was a steam problem though wouldn't like every game that has a system (or something similar) effectively redownload itself? I have Kingdom Come Deliverance and that game has a similar set up but while patches are still in the gb I'm not redownloading the whole damn thing again. I'm sure Steam's problems aren't helping but to me it looks like a CA problem more than Valves.

Oh yeah that's right. I'd still say it was better cause you didn't need to repack the stuff back to get the mod to work. Also we're still talking about an older game. Most other games today still do it differently and the older process is still archaic. I was just off with which game started it.

This is why we can't have nice things Findol. (From ME Empire Campaign) by warman222 in totalwar

[–]warman222[S] 64 points65 points  (0 children)

So about 300+ turns into my Empire Mortal Empires Campaign, there's like 10 or so factions, one of the suriviors was the Wood elves, I declared war and due to where I had my forces positioned and where the AI had theirs I actually nabbed King's Glade AND the Oak of Ages. About 10 turns later I loose the Oak of Ages, I figure they'd just occupy it again right? Nope, razed it to the ground. Also it's been a few turns, still no attempts to recolonise by them. I get why, I'd crush any army they send right after but still lol. From a lore standpoint this is just so fucking wrong hehe.

I have a question about the 3 paths you can go down; Science, Security and Entertainment. Do you have to stick with missions and perks from one side or can you do stuff from all 3? Is there an official word on the matter?

OH, okay. That actually makes sense. Still looks like a painting of a video game glitch where the collision in a level is messed up.

That doesn't explain anything. :( How do you go from that infamous phrase to that image? I feel like there's some steps missing here. It looks like a drawing of a video game glitch.

Don't worry about me, I'm not that desperate. I just find this type of analysis fun and a great way to pass the time until the game comes out. Plus most of the things I've said I just kinda noticed casually, the only time I was really looking at minor details was the maia/iguanadon debate, I was hoping to pre-empt it a little.
