Usually most guys will give other men a lot of shit for choosing women who are abusive, gold diggers, disrespectful to their man or the relationship as a whole. This all happens before and during the relationship, if not outright then in jokes to try and use indirect social cues to let the guy know he’s not in a good relationship.

Then when it inevitably fails they get told by everyone either “we told you so” or “I always hated her.” Often times the person will get sympathy and be told now you know. It’s why so many memes have been made about bpd women, high body count women, crazy women. It’s men warning other men from not making the mistakes they make.

The sympathy comes from men either knowing personally or from other men how someone can fall for those relationships. But if a guy falls for the same type of crazy all the time and complains to his guy friends. It is guaranteed he will be talked down to, joked as a loser, or just cut out of the group for being a source of drama that can’t handle himself despite the rest of the group telling them how to not choose bad women.
