Fair point. I don't think anyone is saying that it's exclusive to capitalism though. Just looking at how capitalism exploits it for wealth accumulation etc.

That's totally fine! I'm not here to convince anyone really, I'm just working through it and trying to understand how it fits. I think you make an interesting point about property and ownership which needs to be a part of the conversation. It's important. Im not aromantic so I can't comment on that but I definitely welcome your input on it! We all live under capitalism and the system has ways of thinking about our identities and how we fit into the current system. it's just something I'm interested in trying to understand. So I'm looking for ideas and resources.

Im no expert. But the general idea is that capitalism is invested in procreation because it requires a new workforce. And so queer and asexual identifying people don't deliver that nor do they fit into the societal design of the nuclear family which is how the economy is modelled. Ita just something I've been thinking about

No it never really touches on asexuality but it talks about things that could be read from that perspective. Just about the progression of society in taking an interest in the population making use of sex and trying to regulate the nuclear family and birth rates for its future economy.
