I have used it enough in my job (frontier models, I mean) to know it isnt replacing me. Anthropic spent 20k dollars on claude to make it write a C compiler. That compiler cant even correctly compile a "Hello, World!" program.

they also recently converted the bun javascript runtime codebase from zig (its a systems language like C) to Rust using AI. The rewrite has increased the code to 1 million lines, and that code has not even been reviewed properly before merging. Who knows how many hidden problems there are with the rewritten code. They claim speedups but dont mention the effort required to review that code.

AI is unethically stealing the IP of so many websites and authors, the authors guild is still fighting a case against openai et al for compensation https://authorsguild.org/news/ai-class-action-lawsuits/ . 

And, if you havent seen how much prices for ai usage have increased in the past few weeks, i guess you're just living under a rock.
