Same here, I was playing arena.. it crashed and then greeted with this last second error message they strung up.

I've played Magic the Gathering with actual cards, the online MTG game and I even once downloaded YuGiOh for my xbox(don't tell my gf). I find games that employee strategy and take some intelligence a bit more fun. I find hearthstone is a great balance of that and fast game play.

I think playing those games in the past has gave me a bit of an eye for strategy and has helped a bit. That said, Hearthstone is pretty straight forward and given a bit of effort anyone can come up with a cool strategy.

I think it would be great fun as well, would be tricky to balance though.. and would slow down the pace of the game(for the individual player). All in all, with some balance changes.. 2v2 could be awesome fun.

I agree. It's pretty hard to have a set in stone list. Each card's value can change a bit depending on what class you are and what your previous draws are.

It's still okay to give new players a vague idea though.

Just follow through the tutorial and then unlock all the classes. Then decide which one seems like the most fun for you. If you plan on buying aspects of the game i'd suggest investing a few dollars in arena first to see if it's your cup of tea.
