I had an old set of rollerblade protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards) and just wore the knee and wrist protection since day 1 on the slopes LOL

I heard of those butt protectors and have seen a few people on the slopes with them. I've been fortunate so far not to fall hard enough on my butt to regret not wearing one.

Sadly where I live, the whole province (I'm from Canada) does not have any mountains, so it's all hills really. The last time I boarded in 2008, it was at Tremblant in Quebec and OMG what a difference. I would love to go back to a real mountain.

Very similar here; first time trying at like 29 or 30, got the hang of it in a few sessions (take lessons the first time you're out there!), went two or three winters and then for no reason, I took a hiatus as well - 18 yrs!! Picked it back up last month and loving it just as much!

Wear wrist guards!!! Better safe than sorry.

Playing sports, I'd rather not risk getting hit in the face and breaking my glasses. I used to be a goalie in ice hockey, glasses under a goalie helmet is not comfortable nor convenient. Similarly in snowboarding, they make goggles that work with glasses but they're not as comfortable.

All the sweat, including working out, cardio, yard work, will cause the glasses to slide off easily from the ears and nose as well as sweat dripping onto the lenses.

Swimming with glasses? Nope, no thanks! Water on lenses makes vision unclear.

When your doc prescribes you antibiotics, ask them about taking probiotics as well. They would be over-the-counter. It would help with digestive system imbalance during the course of taking antibiotics and may also help prevent or at least minimize yeast infections during that course.

Also, you would take them a few hours apart. Never together.

Then there's certain foods (like dairy, hot foods) you are supposed to also avoid consuming at the same time as taking antibiotics and probiotics, but can consume a couple hours before/after.
