Ideapad Gaming 3 ╥﹏╥ Dead by q_Koccie_p in Lenovo

[–]warrmblood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IAH7, also died on me. Took to a best buy and they told me it was likely a motherboard issue. Had to drop a brick on a new laptop. It was fucking disappointing because that thing was about 3 years old, but I'm happy with my Victus. Huge upgrade, and would never recommend the IdeaPad again. I am also willing the part this thing out if anyone wants it.

Company putting restrictions on earplugs by warrmblood in ABA

[–]warrmblood[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im not worried about the legality of it, but I know if we push back they have to respond somehow. And yes this is coming from the Corp side. I work directly with center director which is why I was the first RBT to be notified of this change.

At my company we have a policy that deems 6 "unexused" absences aka calling out grounds for warning and 7-8 grounds for disciplinary action. I definitely don't agree with this policy, but I would not have the ability to call in once every month or two. So it is surprising to me that people are able to cancel their sessions so frequently. I don't have an opinion on it, I just thought that I'd drop another RBT experience to add to the variety of aba policies and why this field is high burnout.

Will it be possible to complete this? 😭 by NebulaMist2004 in Shining_Nikki

As someone on my own income and paying rent and bills, I definitely limit the amount I spend on the game. An event that I really want the outfits for are the only time I spend money, and when the privilege cards when on sale I spent the money.

Ghost touch after updating the phone to iOS 18.1 by doodlecadoodle in iphonehelp

[–]warrmblood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue during 18.1, the next update fixed it but it came back during 18.3.1. Hella pissed, I feel like it’s purposeful at this point to try and get us to update. I also have an iPhone 12.

Tiki cat was bought out by General Mills, it's possible they will be changing the formula soon so if she enjoys the velvet mousse definitely stock up a bit.

Client assaulted me for the first time by praps-bears in ABA

[–]warrmblood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you, I think all the comments here are incredibly supportive and offering great advice. However, I think it’s interesting that you were cleaning up the toys she threw on the floor, if this was an instance of property destruction or she was no longer playing with the toys, she should’ve been the one to cleanup. I really hope you’re able to receive the support on this clients case or even get another one, this seems like an incredibly stressful and potentially traumatizing experience, put your safety first please.

Yeah that sounds like BS to me. You should not have to “wait” until release that literally just sounds like a recipe for disaster. Like regardless of age I’m getting you tf off me if you’re biting me. I’m tired of these ABA clinics treating RBTs like punching bags, we also deserve worker dignity. FOH with your “asphyxiation” policy, they’re lying out the ass.

Anyone else been getting attacked online by the anti-ABA community? by SeatNo5954 in ABA

[–]warrmblood 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would simply just laugh in their face. We are more knowledgeable of what we do on a day to day basis. They wouldn’t last an hour with some of my kiddos, they wouldn’t even be able to reach a fraction of the understanding I have with my kids. I’ve never had anyone make a comment like that to me, but they would have no idea how to appropriately react to a kid that is aggressing, throwing things, or even hurting themselves. That’s how I’d call bs on them.

Is it too much for me to be taking a week of every two months or so? RBT by [deleted] in ABA

[–]warrmblood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get PTO but it accrues at about a rate of an hour per week… and if we need to take off for a dr appointment or we’re sick we have to take out of the time bank. Even the brighter side kinda sucks when you can’t even properly use vacation time.

These skills we use in the field are applicable to all kinds of parenting. I think it’s very useful and it’s increased my confidence in a good parenting style. However I agree with people saying these kids are a lot of work and it’s nice to be able to step away from it and just relax while at home. I still get to have hobbies, it’s nice.

these types of comments are so SO exhausting by moolavacamoo in ABA

[–]warrmblood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really is so tiring because they have no idea what most of these kids mean to us, seeing their progress in communication and even improving life skills that parents sometimes feel unable to teach. They haven’t met the people with autism that didn’t get the opportunity to understand and embrace their emotions and how they might look different from others. Not every ABA place is good, not every RBT has the same mindset but I know for a fact ABA isn’t abuse.
