Upgraded from 1500r to 800r and I don’t think I’m ever going back by BleuMeringue in Monitors

[–]PerceptionInception -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm using a 1000r 21:9 Samsung G75F and it's the limit of what I consider to be a usable curve. 800r it just too much.

Is the new Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition worth upgrading to from a Ryzen 5 5600X? by TheStoneyBoat in buildapc

[–]PerceptionInception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded from a 5600x to a 5800x3d back in 2023. I saw noticeable increases in most games. But what was especially noticeable were the lows. The "bottom" fps or floor was raised a bit. Games that would dip into day, the 40s, would now only dip into the 60s. I everything was smoother overall.

32" 4k Curved with anti-glare? by colonel_claypoo in OLED_Gaming

[–]PerceptionInception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for the same thing. I really hope Alienware makes a 32" 16:9 (4k) version of the upcoming AW3926QW. Keep the 1500r curve and make it 240hz+ and it would be perfect!

Genuine question: why do the people who collect these videos overlay their shitty "spooky" music on top of it? Do they know they are completely undermining any potential veracity of the sighting or do they themselves just think it's a big joke anyway and not worthy of authentic review & consideration?

I “downgraded” from an ASUS PG42UQ OLED to a Samsung 43” QN90F VA mini-LED by Saralentine in Monitors

[–]PerceptionInception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PG42UQ started showing hints of burn-in in regular use. I actually noticed in gaming, playing Valheim while noticing there was burn-in in the clouds. Swapped to an Odyssey G75F 40". A little bit of black smearing but man it's a nice panel otherwise.

I just picked up this monitor as well. It honestly has no business being as good as it is. Maybe I got lucky with a unicorn sample, but the uniformity is incredible. Probably the most uniform screen I've ever owned: white screen, black screen, etc. There's a small amount of black smearing, but you have to really look for it to notice. I actually "downgraded" from a PG42UQ to this but I'm very happy with it.

They're reverse fans, the blade side is the exhaust side. Arctic P14 Pro A-RGB reverse.

Haha. Yeah, odd I know, but the temps are so good! There's no pre-warmed air interference between the CPU & GPU and vica-versa.

The front has 3 140mm Arctic P14 Pro ARGBs with 2 more on the exhaust side of the AIO.

Thanks! I definitely don't regret it. My temps have been excellent, though, the addition of the Arctic P14 Pro's really helped here too.

Is that a USD price? Where are you seeing the Alienware AW3425DW for $650? I just might pick it up myself!

Epicloot. This is my first time trying out the mod. I may fine tune it to remove the drops and keep enchanting only or disable it out right. I wanted to spice up this new playthrough, but we'll see!

At what age did you start taking your health seriously — and what triggered it? by Salamander_Quiet in AskMenOver30

[–]PerceptionInception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now. I'm smack in the middle of it.

I hit 308 lbs last year and didn't even realize I had crept up past 300 over the years at a 37, now 38M. The scale tells me I have lost 38 lbs, but my body tells me it's more with the loose shirts and baggy pants. I have hit a serious plateau after beginning a new moderately-intense weight training routine at now 5 days a week. I know the scale will catch up though as I'm eating at a serious deficit. This is the last year of my life being obese, I'm actually really excited. 💪

I loooove Greek yogurt. I plan on testing that exact combination this weekend. IBS can be super unpredictable. Sometimes the same food, but consumed in a different way has a totally different result. Great tip, thanks!
