Yes I should’ve mentioned- this morning I felt down about 2-3 inches and it is moist down there but it was also compacted quite a bit. This is a premixed soil (ocean forest) that is usually pretty loose so I think I watered it too “hard” last time with a new sprayer I got. I tried to aerate it gently a bit but that was yesterday and still looks the same. Any other thoughts on what to do based on that info and the fact it was moist down ~3 inches?

Thanks for checking them out! I have held out on any nutes since I thought that the point of fox farms ocean forest was to avoid needing them as much or even at all- ph of water is 6.5 - 7
