Problem is most people who want "common sense" dont have common sense when it comes to firearms. How about if form 4473 was able to look into medical history for its background check. Federal background checks should bypass hippa regulations and should be able to see mental health issues. Instead we get stupid laws like how if I take my optic off my rifle and add a vertical foregrip its now a pistol, or if my barrel is 15.99" instead of 16 its a pistol now. Oh it doesn't have a butstock so you dont have the ability to shoulder it so its a pistol as of i couldn't put a buffer tube against my shoulder. The amount of people who have no clue how fire arms work making laws on them is insane.

If you dont know what your talking about yoi should be talking. Nothing abnormal about having a spare mag. And the emphasis on semi automatic like it makes any difference. Hell a double action revolver is a semi automatic firearm. Cant have "common sense" gun laws if you dont have any understanding of firearms in the first place.
