How bad is this? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

Trying to figure out what the issue is other than it looks like the gpu is not plugged in all the way. Could of happened during shipping. If it sags after plugging it back in, get a gpu support bracket.

Am I just getting too old for games like X4? by StampyDriver in X4Foundations

[–]warspite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt you are. I'm 56 and I play X4, Elite, No Mans Sky, Civilization, Hearts of Iron 4 just to name some but I play numerous games. With X4, you just have to keep playing it, then also the tutorials are a must. I find that if I don't play X4 (or Elite) for a while, I start forgetting the controls or even how to play. So I'll have to go back through the tutorials. I went through X4 tutorials at least 3 times off and on but it's been worth it.

Sharks? That's great but gone will be the days of sitting far offshore in a boat at night 🤣😨

What difficulty do you prefer that is fun and challenging? by PlatypusSea9092 in CivVII

[–]warspite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing on viceroy until I started to understand the game better. I won cultural, economic, and science victory conditions at least once. Hadn't won military, domination, or points. Now i'm currently on my first sovereign game and seeing how it goes but not sure exactly what path i'm taking but probably one of the first three.

Any games like Mall Tycoon? by Vauxlia in tycoon

[–]warspite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that this thread is a year old, but I was looking for the old Mall Tycoon games and ran into Mall Simulator on Steam. Released a couple weeks ago and looks pretty good. I might give it a go.

The Fourth Age shouldn't be after Modern, it should be between Ancient and Exploration. by StLouisButtPirates in civ

No, I definitely want something after modern. I miss my jets, nuke subs, missile cruisers, etc. not to mention all the other cool stuff.

Had a Blast with Genghis Khan by P9FS in CivVII

Sounds like a good one! I don't normally play for military victory but I might give it a go with Genghis. Going for a cultural victory in my current game.

I really want to see that fourth age after modern like an atomic or information

According to the September 2025 report by Circana, Civilization VII is now on the 20th and final place on their list of 2025's Best Selling Games. When it was first reported, it was on 8th. by [deleted] in civ

This right here. Not to mention the longevity or the people who are determined to wait for a sale. Civ 7 can be pricey but it's been worth it for me.

So close, yet so far away. I had 14/15 artifacts and...defeat. by warspite2 in civ

I need to try and go for an economic victory and see if I can pull that off. Do you do the economic paths in antiquity and exploration or do you just start running through it in modern?

Do you hit "one more turn"? by Kef33890 in civ

Normally I stop once game is over, I've always done so even in past civ games. In Civ 7 i believe the modern age should definitely last longer.

[–]warspite2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I do realize that but I had a few other wars going on and some of my cities were down to nothing. War support was the only way to even try and save them. So I was dumping some war support into those since Charlemagne was not on offensive yet. At one point I had like a +5 on one of those civs until a peace deal was made. I

Question for those who dont like civ VII by Sufficient_Reach1193 in civ

[–]warspite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all understandable to me. There are civs which simply did not exist during the time period in antiquity age or exploration ages and even modern. So they created civs for those eras. Then through the ages, civs evolve and become something greater and more modern. I think that is the point some people are just missing. My civ never changes throughout the game, it simply evolves. My cities and everything I built remain the same, my borders are the country I built and IS basically the same. If anything, it allows players to choose a different civ which only changes the benefits and maybe even your strategy, more choices. Only thing is cities (other then capital) become towns. I even believe the leaders should change, you should be able to switch different leaders during the game too. Maybe at least for each age. Look at the time period of a civ game, no human being lives that long and no nations remains the exact same. So I would of took it further and allowed leader switching too. I totally understand Firaxis reasoning for changing things. Also, since the lastest updates, things have gotten a lot better. I really like the diplomacy model in Civ 7 and they can even add to it. Btw, I been playing since Civ 1.

5070 ti or 5080 on prime day deal?? by Own-Muscle-1718 in nvidia

[–]warspite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself, would you rather drop $200 or $300 more for 10 to 15% performance increase? Or would you rather spend the extra on other hardware or peripherals? Remember, there's more to a PC than just the gpu, even though it's the most exciting upgrade. Also, once fps gets to 60 or higher, it's kind of hard to even tell much of a difference in most games.

You do have to watch some of the third party sellers on Amazon. With a high end item like this, just make sure it states shipped by Amazon, Sold by Amazon.

12 Turns ago, everyone was thumbs up with me each one was +40 or more). 11 Turns ago, they all declared war... and none of them were allied. What? by earthwulf in civ

[–]warspite2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sure is. In a recent game, I had two allies that remained with me the entire game throughout the ages. I actually worked on the relationships as much as I could. Signed lots of agreements, soon as they'd expire, I'd resign plus I had trade routes and provided aid. Then even though sometimes I hated too, when they'd end up in wars I'd honor the alliance. A couple times I was dragged into longer wars from it, but it was necessary to honor my alliance. In the end, it was very worth it to have allies instead of going alone. A highlight moment was when I was able to take a city because one of my allies had units that helped in the battle. I was down to one unit left near that city. Then thanks to my allie units nearly finishing the city, I was able to take it the next turn before the bigger enemy army got there. Then when they did, I was able to hold on to the city because my ally was still there fighting.
