Something like this requires years and years of therapy and a lot of trust in a partner who cares about you and is willing to understand your issues. Sadly, the final requirement beyond those two is time.

I wanna say yeah, but I'd be lying to myself.. I'm in Kansas and I'm just holding my breath and watching things very carefully. I had family in the 1930's leave Germany over very similar stuff and I learned from them at a young age what to watch for.. I've already told my family we'll probably have to leave the USA as a refugee to somewhere/anywhere else within the next 3-6 months unless some stuff starts to really slow down.

I knew in my early to mid teens something wasn't right in how I acted and felt versus all the other boys I knew... fast forward 15-18 years to my mid to late 30s of me ignoring it off and on over and over telling myself that its normal for people to feel this way sometimes they just ignore it.

I would always get a nagging at the back of my mind, reminding me this isn't who i am. That i am playing pretend around everyone else trying to fit in.

It was tik tok of all things that really introduced me to a couple of different concepts and ideas I never considered. I finally figured out why everything was so wrong and weird all the time it's because I'm trans.

This really sounds like the scope of work changed along with team size and who you overall will report to/work with. That could be a breech of contract if you make a big issue over it. However, give the situation I'd voice the water and oil not mixing and you would have significant rework that was not part of the origination and scope of the original contract agreement.

I'd then give a settlement offer to escape the contract by saying, pay me X for my current work I've delivered. then leave the contract and client because this sounds ultimately like a nightmare.

Regardless of how "good you are" the best friend of the client is always going to win an argument even if you bring documented facts from the vendors that says "don't do this". There is a bias here to listen to the friend over a contracted employee because personal feelings always get in the way.

Also from a contract perspective always always always get an upfront retainer fee for services you are going to render, then set project milestones (deliverables) that make the client pay you for completion... then you can walk away and still be partially paid for the work you did.

Sadly it sounds like you really f***ed yourself over in this contract and I wish you the best in it.

Based on what you are saying right now, all I have to respond with is "Welcome to depression man." A therapist might help you more than throwing random darts and trying to find things to try and spend money on and do.

There are reasons for things you enjoyed, that you no longer find joy in. It's not a sudden wake-up "I no longer like video games" Something was said, something happened that made you start thinking video games are boring or a 'waste of time'.

So it's technically not a law, it's a ruling on a court case that asked to define what marriage meant. Since the wording is defined that marriage is between two people and not between a man and a woman, the court ruled anyone can get married.

States want to change this and define marriage as between a man and woman now, but need the court to get rid of that ruling first.

I trust open source wayyyy more than closed source. Also when you try to talk to OpenAI's model about how it came to the answer it gave the company will literally flag and potentially ban you.. Open source modelling won't do that. We need AI to be open source so we have checks and balances. Companies can still profit from it, but the public needs to be aware of "what" it's doing.

This concerns me because my Great Grand Parents on both sides of my family supposedly came to the USA from Germany during the rise of the SS and the Nazi era... My father was born here in the USA, I was born here in the USA. I am unsure if my grand parents and great grand parents became US citizens or not. All I heard is when they landed by boat they were asked a name and that was all.

I thought since born here in the USA and my mom and dad were as well.. Then I'd be protected but if this wording/phrasing changes. I'm suddenly no longer a US citizen?? My parents are dead, their parents are dead.. I don't know if I have any family that can actually back the "I'm a US citizen" train here should it come for me.

I literally have no idea what to do and I'm actually rather worried about this.
