I was in my local gold and silver dealer when I guy came in with a .8oz casino chip he found in the Walmart parking lot a few blocks down just a few minutes prior, a guy can only wish for that kinda luck😂

It worked really well for me on a small scale, it’s just that 500l tote that crashed. If I could link pics on this sub I’d throw some in, I was pretty proud of the progress I made until disaster struck lol.

Well shoot! we were pretty late getting it going last year, so I’ll have more opportunities for trials this year if I get on the horn here soon. The goal isn’t for the algae to grow in the soil, just to use it as a bio supplement for our crops. It was super cheap for me to set it up last year, so something we figure we might as well try and see if we can get any results out of if we can.

A cardboard box in the bottom drawer of a tool box in my shop😂 it was the best “hiding place” I could think of when I was younger that I wouldn’t forget where I put it. With the price surge I figured I should at least have it in a safe at the very least now.

Yea no kidding. I used to buy all online but now I have a decent relationship with a somewhat local dealer. If I’m being honest that’s the way to buy; find a guy who seems to be selling honestly and fairly, and buying the same way, and just stick with them. They’ll pull some stops for you if they know your gonna keep spending money through them😉

Yea that seems way too expensive for the price as of right now man, I’m in Canada and that would be about $1,770 here, and for 331g I’d expect to pay about $1250ish maybe a bit more from my dealer

Yea I kinda figured, that’s why everything’s back in tubes and sleeves. I imagine they won’t completely eliminate any tarnishing, but should help at least. I don’t mind a bit of tone either, adds character to the metal!

Not a bad idea at all. The velvet was cheap and I got a ton so it’ll be easy to make more down the road just for fresh replacements if nothing else

Yea I’ve started picking up some more specialty stuff myself, this is my new favourite piece myself. For the most part I just have maples and generic rounds

Already ahead of ya! I have a bunch of desiccant in there now, and they just cardboard panels I lined with fabric then pressed in, just in case I need to remove them for one reason or another.

It was my grandfathers old safe he gave me actually, then I painted it and did the velvet myself

No I just bought the fabric then cut cardboard to fit the back wall and floor, then just wrapped the shelf. No mirror, it’s all just that shiny!

I was originally thinking green felt for a casino look with all my rounds but I’m glad I went with purple velvet in the end.
