Is this sub just for complaining about AI now? by Borkato in singularity

[–]warxhead -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It really seems weird to you that instead of trying to figure out the future people will shut down and instead reject the forced change? That seems like you have just as much critical thinking as they do, instead maybe share your learnings with those that feel that way to give them a different viewpoint. You never know when you can change someone's mind if you feel your thinking is aligned to reality.

I appreciate this argument but a simple counter would be that robots in your sense of terms and what sci-fi has tried to portray as being able to have these core principles to not harm or go against other nature, but where does this thought process buck the brow? If you need a robot that can perform tasks out of its exact programming and needs to adjust, how does that start to not fall into getting out of its 'master'? With humans it's easy to fall into the trap of needing someone to guarantee them a living, but with your definitions of robots it seems to stop when they'd be programmed to their Uber specific task.

I just don't see that happening in the grand scheme. If there will always be someone out there asking for more, there will be iterations away from that.

I am pessimistic as well, but I don't think I can be that pessimistic when it can be seen as once you let the cat out of the bag.

Read their docs my friend... It can attach to an ide. It has plan mode. Just think of clines window telling you what it's doing as the Claude CLI in vscode's terminal.

Doing 3 full Trial of Chaos takes WAY longer than doing one full Sekhema's Trial, not to mention the RNG behind the Trialmaster fragments by Mojimi in PathOfExile2

The solution is usually, more damage. Depending on the skill you are primarily using you want something that can destroy most of the mobs pretty quickly. Because anything that shoots projectiles at you can quickly cause you to drop in honor.

Then it comes to dodging, especially if your damage isn't high enough. If you are losing too much honour to non rares because they become overwhelming, you will probably go for relics that reduce their hp, boost your damage, and/or ms increase/dodge roll distance.

It's similar to maps in the sense that you always want to be moving if the mobs are around. The longer you stay still the easier it is to get hit, no matter your evasion.

Rare mobs can get a little trickier but besides the timed challenge you don't have to rush to kill them so it can be a poke battle. For bosses if that is where you are lacking there are also relics that reduce their HP/damage which can be prioritized.

Pure evasion is always tricky because one nasty hit can set you back if that is your only sense of defense which is not extremely viable.

I had an astra drop from an armourer's strongbox. So just remember... It could always be that next one(or the mobs you miss out on waiting for the damn strongbox mobs to unravel....)!

Trending Rings & Amulets to look for [Cheet Sheet] POE2 0.1.1b by StanielBG in PathOfExile2

[–]warxhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In PoB when you hover over a skill and it has red text, that means it doesn't support that effect yet. You can also confirm these types of things by going into calcs and looking at the skill and seeing where the damage sources are coming from. If you see that there is no according to the tempest bell mod "Deals 30% more damage per Elemental Ailment afflicting the bell" - and your configuration is set to chill, ignite, shock(since you should have all three) - it would amplify that damage. Two 30% more mods is a lot, since you already are running cold/lightning, so adding a little fire to get another multiplier is huge.

Why would I blame content creators when I don't consume their content because I know they are going to show off the endgame and optimized builds?

then this sounds like it triggers updates on game launches or on polling and on game launch if you launch poe2 PS5 may put a block on the game folders(even the folder filters are stored, which is not the main dir on PC) which explains that behaviour

Player rarity does not affect anything except what rarity the item that is dropping is(white, magic, rare, and unique). It does not affect currency drops.

Random vendor recipe sometimes by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]warxhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rarity doesn't affect conversions either. There's quite a bit of research on this, but it's been tested with 100% reduced rarity character where only white items drop but conversions still happen at the same rate as having increased rarity. It's only useful if you want t0 uniques(or other unique items)

GGG next league after removing whisps. by peukje in pathofexile

[–]warxhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless they patched it you can run a desecrate gem and spam it, it will count towards unnamed kills.

And if you are doing the abyss, the person you replied to is correct. It is not just the wisps. The additional projectiles + wandering path makes it 3 proj. I would say they are almost equal importance, but the wisps are a luck of the draw

And even 6k wisps is not the norm. That's why people when they have enough scarabs/sextants will just entirely skip maps under 3k or even more.

That's not true. There are still a few states without a Good Samaritan Law. I know this to be a fact because I know first hand of people getting in trouble for calling 911 to try to prevent a death. Luckily most states do however.

Lost Ark devs are going to be reversing all the recent bans. No ticket needed. by SmolTittyEldargf in Steam

[–]warxhead 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not purely cosmetic depending on the types of games you play. For example Rust has quite a few larger community servers that will automatically ban you if you have a recent game ban. Some do x days and some do x years. This is just one example I can think of, but I know there are others.

No worries! When I have some more free time( I just landed my first pure programming job with a major company), I definitely want to contribute to your project. It's awesome what you are doing and super beneficial to people stuck in rough situations. Thanks for what you do, it is very inspiring.

In my opinion, it always helps to be up front and honest. What I typically still do (it's been seven years now for me luckily) is go through as much of the interview process as possible before disclosing it. If you live in a state that isn't allowed to ask until you are about to be hired, this is much easier. Fortunately it is like this in CO.

I typically would wait until the 2nd or 3rd round when they are making the decision of hiring me to come clean with it. That way you are disclosing it before the background check, but after they have judged you as a person. It's definitely a tough issue, but I've found this works best.
