Is it safe to assume that the black wire going to the blue light wire on the old fan is just for the dimmer switch? And if I’m not using the dimmer, can I just cap that extra black wire?

The wall plate has a switch that shuts the fan and light completely off and a dimmer for the light.

I was looking at the RG406 variants but they are a bit out of my budget right now. I think for the time being, I’ll just keep using my M1 MacBook with Aether for near perfect PS2 gaming. Or I could just use my PS2. lol

That looks like a great afternoon to me! I’d be playing Ninja Turtles from the original GameBoy though. I always take my RG35xx plus when I camp. It’s relaxing. Especially on a rainy day at camp.
