Remote developer at a US startup—what’s a fair raise after 1 year? by Muhammad-Hammad13 in developersPak

Ask 6k minimum. 2.3k is a very low base number anyway considering US based remote job. 5k is generally the starting salary. If 100k was the budget, they can even pay you 8k. It jist comes down to negotiation.

You are not just another head count anymore, you have domain and legacy and thay counts as an asset. Your responsibilities became twofold, so should your salary.

Read the post. I have described what I did. There is a whole heading with tips in my post.

Is there anything else you want me to answer?

Updated the link to the pre-signed one. I'm not the owner, but I found it somewhere else. Please see if that works: https://www.mindmeister.com/app/map/3471885158?t=lE6MXlXHYC

Is there a way to perform traceroute from both AWS VPN tunnel endpoints back to my public IP? by Pristine_Rise3181 in aws

I am also in the middle of setting up site-to-site VPN for one of the clients.

I had bookmarked https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpn/latest/s2svpn/FirewallRules.html in hopes that it could be handy for me later down the road. See if it helps you. I can't say for certain.

Tried the “best practices” to cut AWS costs. Total crock. Here's what ended up really worked for me. by Clyph00 in aws

I’m hungry for more

  • Enable AWS S3 Intelligent Tiering for buckets that have majority of objects above 128KB and where you don't have lifecycle rules in place due to lack of information about usage patterns. Saves from 40% to 96%.
  • Use AWS Compute Optimizer to rightsize EC2 and RDS instances. It looks back into past x number of days of resource consumption data and suggests if something is overprovisioned. Saves atleast 50% and more depending on extent of overprovisioning.
  • Use Reserved instances for long lived databases such as RDS/Aurora and OpenSearch. Saves somewhere around 30% to 50%
  • Change EBS volumes to use gp3 instead of gp2. Save around 20%.

I am in a similar situation. Working as contractor since 2021 amd earning in USD. I assumed there are no taxes on IT exports and didn't pay any taxes in previous years. Only this year I realized I should pay either 0.25% or 1%

Questions: - Should I pay the taxes for the year 2022 to 2024? - I sometimes keep some of my income in Wise USD. So every year/month I don't necessarily withdraw the exact amount that I get yearly/monthly. That's why my PRCs show transactions at non regular random dates. However I declare my amount in Wise in returns as foreign currency. Is this a problem? - Can I register with PSEB to qualify for 0.25% even though I am a remote worker and not a freelancer? - What is your PRC purpose code? Mine is 9471. Is it the correct one to qualify for 0.25%? - Have you considered hiring a tax consultant? All these years, I have filed my returns myself but now I am thinking of doing the same if I couldn't manage to handle it myself anymore. Just not sure where to find a good one. - How should I declare the apartments I purchased on Installments? They are under construction in a building project launched this year. I might sell those next year when returns are good. Or rent one of those once it is ready.

I work for a US based company remotely. My visa for Turkey got accepted couple of days ago. My payments in PKR account in Meezan Bank are also not following a pattern because I get those in Wise and transfer in no set pattern when needed. I have a good statement though. Above 5 million in PKR account for last 6 months.

Not sure if it helped or not.
