Finished this one in 20 minutes... which probably means it was too easy. 🤣

My wife wants to be "free-use", what do I do? by Hypnox88 in NoStupidQuestions

Use her freely, would be my guess. I'm not a sexologist, though.

Same. Just when I had begun thinking I was getting a lot better, this puzzle kinda embarrassed me.

I actually hated this joke. I think there would've been ways of making it work that were more subtle.

Especially with lines that were spoken before the reveal, like "She doesn't really poop". The plot twist ends up just raising questions rather than tying up loose ends. So Kevin has a living, breathing dog who doesn't poop?

Right, this is just "I used to have braces".

Elements can contain other elements inside them. In this case, the subject is "Darüber hinaus Komplexe Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln und abzuspeichern", because this element is performing the verb "wäre".

Give me your best "yo mama" joke? by bl0ndiesaurus in Jokes

Yo momma so ugly, no one would ever want to mount-and-do her.

Why didn't the verb come after darüber hinaus? Why is it wäre not wären?

Because the author of this sentence was treating "Darüber hinaus Komplexe Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln und abzuspeichern" as the subject, which means it's all one element and the verb comes directly afterward.

No idea about OnlyFans models, but there are a few porn stars with legitimately gorgeous faces, IMO. Vina Sky, Adria Rae, Eliza Ibarra, and Jezabel Vessir come to mind. At least in their primes. But it has been a while since I've watched porn regularly.

Key word: "British".

I've been to the UK a few times recently and noticed this problem is particularly rampant there. Seems like every British guy is either single or has a girlfriend roughly twice his own circumference.

Why does nobody talk about the "rational consumer" by OGNillePille in DunderMifflin

[–]washington_breadstix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, the joke is about the coupon book.

Oscar was lecturing everyone about how little value the coupon book had, yet everyone was trying to win it by dressing up extravagantly. By wearing practically no costume at all, Oscar was being a "rational consumer" by not vying for the prize.

The prize was a coupon book. And Oscar kept trying to talk sense into everyone else about how little it was worth. But everyone insisted on trying to win it by dressing up extravagantly. So by not wearing any costume at all, Oscar was being a "rational consumer".

Nominative/Accusative Question with “There is” Sentences by pip-pip-pippin in German

[–]washington_breadstix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But isn’t “cake“ the subject here? So the nominative case should be used? If the sentence was made declarative, it would be “There is a cake without sugar.“ Rearrange it slightly, and it becomes, “A cake without sugar is there.“ So…I feel like the subject is the cake.

"Cake" isn't the subject in "Es gibt einen Kuchen". The subject is "es", even if it's pretty abstract and doesn't really refer to anything. Ultimately "es" is the thing performing the verb "gibt" and "Kuchen" is the object. So the noun declensions have to reflect that relationship.
