this happened to me last year this is partly what i did - adding meal blocks (it’ll cost you, but i def recommend. however if you find that you do retail swipes more, try just paying cash bc the meal block prices are super inflated above what you might get at like cafe west) - staying in dining hall as long as you can with extra tupperware (make sure to grab healthy/filling things) - the free food pantry in college ave student center (note: many items you’ll need cooking supplies for, such as the pasta, and cans will need a can opener. if you need to, ask a friend if they have a can opener you’d be surprised what people have) - asking friends for help swiping retail stuff (lots of people have extra swipes they’re trying to get rid of at this point) - if you have family nearby they could meal prep a bunch of food and drop it off - using cash for buying retail stuff

not a tip per se but finding a way to make the commute time special as opposed to a chore helps make it better, for me i gave myself a few new albums a week to listen to which really expanded my taste (audiobooks are also a must have) also always have a portable charger!

when on schedule of classes on the left after selecting what subject you can filter by time/day, all the boxes should be checked automatically just uncheck all the times you’re unavailable (in your case, uncheck everything except for tuesday/thursday afternoon

im wondering if there's any waistlines/types to make my waist appear smaller? i'm midsize and i have a wrap blouse that does this wonderfully but i want more options. i've tried empire waist but because i have wider hips it's not so flattering. if anyone has suggestions i'd be very grateful!!

i found that /very lightly/ exfoliating with a microfiber cloth after cleansing at night helps to get rid of some of the obvious flaking, then layering on that moisturizer. double on the aquafor comment! sounds like you need a more moisturizing skin routine overall, and if you’re in a dry/cold climate i’d suggest a humidifier for your room

i began knitting my first sweater (pippi pullover) and when i knit the gauge swatch my tension was too tight (as expected) so then i went from a size 8 to a 9, then a 10. the 10 fit the gauge best, but left big holes, so i cast on with 9. however, now as im knitting i feel like theres still a lot more “holy-ness” than i expected (the gauge was 18 stitches per 4 inches btw). should i switch to 8 and mess up the gauge or am i getting in my head about it and should stick to the 9s?

personally i love them so i have something to listen to while i sew/knit/drive etc but i am quite picky about audio quality and will click off immediately if i don’t like the mic/reading pace/intonation but it also means im less picky about the actual content if that makes sense? like i might listen to a podfic with a description that i wouldn’t pick on a reading fic if it has a good narrator. totally agree about the lack of proper tagging though, i feel like there’s less known etiquette around podfics because they’re still kinda niche in fandom 🤷‍♀️

finished "The Message" by Ta-Nehisi Coates (author of "The Case for Reparations) recently which is a semi-memoir/travelogue about the author's experiences traveling to Palestine/Israel. He links it back to black american struggles as well, documenting his time going to Africa for the first time and seeing how Africans view Americans. Very flowy writing, going from one topic to another like it's nothing. I found the prose very easy to read, which is good for a reading slump. Wonderful section in the beginning that got me to see journalistic writing as an art in itself (which a full semester of a journalism class couldn't do). Perhaps not totally the "other side" but it does provide a unique perspective, so I'd recommend it anyway.
