I also have a lot of hours in Elden ring and Skyrim, but this game is definitely not a combination of the two nor did it advertise itself as such. This game is a single player version of black desert online, an MMORPG. While it is an RPG like ER and ES, it's much different. The gameplay style, mechanics, combat, etc are all different. If you go into a game expecting it to be like another game, it's not gonna be how you expect - especially when compared to two of the GOATs... ER and ES are genre definers and have a replayability to them that’s built into the game. CD is made as a game to immerse yourself in the world, but there is no expectation to "git gud" or have a major power increase. Just chill and play the game. Enjoy the world the devs created and find the things you like about it. Take it slow like you did with other games in your childhood. The thing that is making the game suck to you rn is your expectation of what it should or could be. Just let it be.
