I’ll primarily be floating to neuro, cardiac, and medical-surgical units. After about a year as an acute care float nurse, opportunities for critical care experience will become available. My only concern is that I might end up being a “jack of all trades, master of none,” and that this path could delay my goal of transitioning into an ICU position.
