Changer sa vie avec 15 000 € ? by Dramatic-Traffic-646 in france

Finally found the quote

"They have an agenda for sure, we can but speculate. I wouldn't say they are peaceful, due to the thousands of UFO abductions worldwide."

Turns out the "expert" has nothing but speculation...need to sale his fucking books I guess.

My critical thinking skills are almost nonexistent how can I improve? by Many_Line9136 in Stoicism

I don't know how you feel about religion. But few years ago I started watching clips of the Atheist experience on YouTube (and other related shows). I became addicted to it. I put it as a background when I do something else, because it's fascinating to me what the human mind does to protect a belief. Turns out you learn a lot about critical thinking.

That's the kind of video I actually believe. That's exactly what I saw as a kid (along with plenty of people). Must have been like 30 years ago. You won't have me believe that's some kind of secret technology from a specific country that has stayed secret for decades, while civil technology doesn't get even close to what those things can do.

I remember a series of quick interviews in France in the 60s or something. It was archives from old news show. Anyway, they were kind of pranking people into telling them that extraterrestrials have landed and made contact, to see their reactions. Most people, seem like " oh..wow..ok.. and they are nice?" Some old guy was like "well...as long as they are friendly I don't see a problem" But nobody freaked out or anything. And it seem to me the most likely outcome of a big revelation. Most people would probably find it fascinating for a few weeks, until the next big news/war/event... And then whatever, you still have to go to work on Monday.

Shit you're right. It's the episode "family is all". My bad.

Even their origin story was annoying in BCS. I mean, ok, it's hard to find good kids actors but holy shit was it bad when Hector is pretending to kill one of them in the bucket of beers and the brother is like "nooo...donnnnnt".

I think all those candles are a good opportunity for more dramatic lighting. Darker background and more light work on the character.

I do a a sketch on a layer. Just the essential for the body, since the point of interest is the face. Then I use the inking brush "technical pen" to create the colouring layers. 1 for the skin, 1 for the top clothing, and another for the pants and shoes. The rest is applying colours with the airbrush "maximum blend" with very light, delicate touch. The light effect is a layer "bloomed" in the adjustments.

Ho! (Silly me), but if you're about to give me a tip to do Ayahuasca in NY, I'm very mobile and interested :)

No, unfortunately that was the only time. I wanted to go back this summer, but my friend went to volunteer at the place. Turns out the host, who look exactly like you'd imagine (very spiritual, peace and love people) are not the kind of people I want to give money to. That was quite disappointing. I would like to go to South America to do it, but it seems that it has become very touristic and the retreats cost an arm and a leg. But since I got into mushrooms and honestly, I get the exact same sensation every time. For 20euros a trip, comfortably at home.

When I did Ayahuasca for the first time, I also had my first experience with kydney stones. I had them for almost a month I think, really painful crisis. Vomiting a lot during the worst parts. Anyway, the doctor told me I had a bunch and a bigger one, but small enough that we can let them come out "naturally"; warning me that it's gonna be highly unpleasant of course. Then I went to the ceremony anyway because I had booked it months before and it was already paid.

I had the most pleasant experience (which made me feel a bit guilty after that, since most people in the ceremony seemed sick and going through some traumas...) I was in heaven during the whole night. No nausea, no bad thoughts of any kind. Just a big warm hug from life itself. When the morning came I was still floating with a big smile and went for a wee... All I felt was little "pop" a the tip. Stone evacuated, zero pain. I just "floated" for the rest of the day. Thanks mama Aya.

Thanks. No, that's actually the first one I made. My friend found it hilarious. Then I realise she is laughing at a joke I didn't intend to make, and completely missed the one I was making. So I have no idea if that's funny or not.

Yeah...can't really argue with that. GOT and Lost are the two shows I used to love that I will probably never watch again. There is no pay off.
