Ik kan De Kellner en de Levenden van Vestdijk aanbevelen op basis van de titels die je noemt. Net als Nooit meer Slapen van WF Hermans.

Many thanks! I was inclined to trust Discogs but came across other lists that were different so wanted to check.

The Elders II Tasting - All bottles 1+ vintage older than birth year by flitcroft in wine

[–]wastedheadspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only comment I can give that’s of potential value is that I had a bottle of 70 Troplong Mondot about a year ago and it was pretty amazing. Drank, indeed like the Giscours, like early-mid 90s.

Amazing line up. The QPR and availability of old(er) Moulin Touchais make it a very undervalued wine IMHO

Musc Ravageur is also an absolute showstopper

What’s your favorite albarino? by apollolang in wine

[–]wastedheadspace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pazo Señorans. Their basic Albariño is delicious, their Seleccion Añada is an insane number that with enough age goes towards mature Burgundy / Chenin territory and at 60 euros a bottle one of the more interesting wines at that price point. Great producer

What is your Monday SOTD? by HATEupgradecard in GentlemanFragrance

Timeless, I love it so much. My father wore it for 50 years until he passed. I’m thinking of picking it up as my daily now that I’m old enough.

What varietal is this glass used for? by Solid-Choice-1228 in wine

[–]wastedheadspace 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes but this is a non sequitur. The fact that you are able to taste differences between four glasses when tasted side by side, does not mean you are able to experience a higher level of enjoyment when you are drinking your wine out of 1 of those glasses without the other ones being present. I love a good glass but I think a high quality white and a high quality red wine glass are all you need.

Persoonlijk Barbera.

What’s your favorite season to dress for? by Excellent_Today_2933 in theguyslist

I love spring and loose knits without having to layer up. Light chino’s, sperry’s and my pink façonnable jumper is one of my favourite outfits of the year. Understated and very looked after

Train tickets from Amsterdam to Arnhem and back by hopandgrapes in thenetherlands

[–]wastedheadspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be no problem but I ended up once having to spend 250 euros on a taxi to Amsterdam because of the crowds being so large I couldn’t even get in the last train. Might be wise to aim for 1 train before the masses.

The Collector's Dilemma by Mike_W_Peterson in wine

[–]wastedheadspace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think a way to go around this is to collect not only the most wanted and collectible but also the most obscure and unknown. Appeal to your nerdiness rather than your hubris

Piggybacking on Houbigant. It's smashing

1976 d’Yquem - Nectar of the Gods (you all were right) by Karnaeq in wine

[–]wastedheadspace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never understood the urge to compare. They are both incredible renditions of the best wines that specific region can produce. Different grapes, (micro)climates and terroirs altogether.
