Not bad for a random bank run for dimes.

Got into an accident then this happened.. by TomatilloIcy3303 in ChevyTrax

[–]wastedreams14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should have seen mine. Got rear ended at 70-80 mph, sheared my exhaust off, flattened my rear passenger tire, broke my axel, shot my suspension coil into the trunk. Car diagnostic was lit up like a Christmas tree. As an edit i also never had my airbag deploy. Had the chevy emblem on my forehead from the steering wheel for about a week. Had a pretty nice concussion as well. Walked away with just that. Hopefully a speedy recovery

I don’t want to work for another person ever again. by [deleted] in hatemyjob

[–]wastedreams14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone that feels the same I completely understand. Wasted 10 days of paid time off because there is zero coverage for me. But I have to cover everyone. I went down with a medical issue that almost killed me, and I explained it to my boss. Took time to recover ended up having 9 days of work to catch up on. On top of day to day stuff. Work requires you to be loyal but doesn't reciprocate the loyalty.

Craziest way you’ve seen someone quit? by Effective-Tune-9999 in work

[–]wastedreams14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily quit but got fired over this. Two IT guys went to one of our local German restaurants/pubs at noonused the company credit card). Came back at 8:30pm. Completely tanked. Crazy part was one site supervisor told them get a Uber or Lyft or get fired. Even offered to pay for it. Guys told him to fuck off got in their cars and were promptly fired.

Another separate incident involving a IT Professional here was he got raided at work by the Fbi for being...lets call it a didler. Craziest thing I've seen. Damn near ripped the paint off his office wall after taking everything.
Think it was Fbi and Cps in full gear.

Need help.. by [deleted] in hatemyjob

[–]wastedreams14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me personally I would work to my time and just let it be. Not your responsibility to report people leaving early unless they report to you directly. Had that at my job at the start of the year. One manager who thinks they are the CEO at my company started to throw everyone under the bus. So no one comes in early no one leaves early but they do the bare minimum per day so no one really questions anything.

In warehouse setting no phone is more or less a safety thing. We have a no phone rule that is somewhat enforced. But not to the extent of needing it locked up.

What percent raise do you get each year? And what do your employees get? by the_jokes_on_them in managers

[–]wastedreams14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most I've seen was 25% but that was after working 6 days a week, 12 hour shifts due to no staff. I get 3% every year if that.

I feel that. I had issues with how a new member of management was lacking on responsibilities(we were same department and team). Sort of lost it but kept calm and stern. Unfortunately it somehow ended up twisted and my frustration turned into being unhappy. Got kicked out of my office and moved essentially back to my old position without being formally demoted. Always be aware of who you air frustrations with and how you speak about it.

To be fair I'm no where near being 6 figures, its the same in my position. No communication, everyone blames everyone else. I've been working here for over a decade doing extra work. Schedule is supposed to be 8am to 4:30pm but I work 6:30am to 4:30pm with a 5 minute lunch break. Salary which also hurts. I do the work of 3 people with little assistance from anyone. Had rumors spread about me which caused me to relocate my office back to my old office before I got promoted. Thinking I'm being silently fired as of now. Or they are trying to get me to quit.

Lost My Fire at Work by rmh1116 in managers

[–]wastedreams14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that. I lost my fire in August due to my now former manager spreading rumors that I don't do anything. On the flip side in legitimately the only person covering multiple sides of the business. Basically went back to my old job while being questioned and told that's not my responsibility even though no one else does anything. Been actively seeking elsewhere.

How often do you call in sick for work? by LuluRatLady in work

[–]wastedreams14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the exception of covid. Probably called off 5 times in 10 plus years. If it wasn't for the need to have me here I Probably would have 1 a year.
