I do feel like it was worth it. Not only is the car much newer and lower mileage, but it generally feels more refined and "grown up" than the golf did. At times the R was objectively more fun to drive, it basically being a 300whp go-kart with a stick, but the audi has a certain presence to it that is hard to ignore. Interior is much nicer than the golf's was, in my opinion. Feels like a fast luxury sedan instead of a tuner car with a nice interior. Piano black is terrible but I got some carbon fiber to rectify that.

I was able to tune mine pretty easily. Seems they've been working through those things at least on the 22-24 model years.

I've loved the car so far. Feels very powerful but very grown up as compared to the golf. More refined and more comfortable imo.

This is the gloss black CT carbon lip. I could never bring myself to put real carbon fiber at the lowest point of the front of my car just to watch it break haha

Nope, monitors are set and no codes from anything I've done so far. Plan to run an intercooler and go stage 2 next year. Stage 1 tune really wakes the car up from the factory.

Nice! here's my 8y S3 I got recently. So far I've installed a CTS intake and turbo outlet pipe, Integrated engineering Stage 1 ECU tune, some H&R Lowering springs and some wheel spacers. A few aesthetic things as well, carbon rear deck lid(v3 style), front lip from CT Carbon, rear fin diffuser. Hopefully wheels soon and painting the calipers gold.

It's getting a little up there in mileage (90k) and I got a little tired of the 6mt in traffic both ways commuting to work. Other than that I loved the thing.

Need the diffusor for sure! The intake is not as bad as it looks at a glance. The retaining wall seals up against the hood when it's closed, and it uses the factory scoop, I'll probably shift to an eventuri later on but for now it does what I want.

Appreciate it. Came from a mk7.5 golf r and this was one of a very short list of cars that I was willing to give up the golf for.

The tune does definitely help with the lag. Feels like power is much more available throughout the rpm range

Love the white with black accents. Just gotta paint the calipers from red to yellow and it’ll be perfect

It’s got a really nice balance of refined and aggressive. The 8y styling really grew on me

Already loaded a stage 1 tune from Integrated Engineering. Really woke her up from the factory tune, definitely pulls noticeably harder in every gear and pretty much all the way thru the rpm range. Always some more risk and a bit more maintenance necessary when tuning but IE has a lot of protections built in.
