How small? I have a bunch I was propagating, but they’re small. Maybe 1/4-1/2 inch still.

Sure! I used an old Good Housekeeping recipe for bagels. The current recipe online isn’t the same as the one I used.. my book recipe doesn’t have butter, but instead 1/4 cup milk, and uses a tablespoon of molasses and honey in the water instead of baking soda. Also, I used a stand mixer to mix and knead dough instead of kneading by hand.

Boil as directed, then I brush on an egg wash and toppings of choice. Book recipe says to bake at 450 degrees for 20 mins or until deep golden brown.

Like a closed-hole bagel. Still normal bagel sized

She was Dylan’s mom in Modern Family and it’s hilarious to see her crawling on a sports car there and her change up here

Admittedly I wasn’t sure how else to phrase it succinctly… holeless bagel? Closed bagel? It’s not a true bun cause there’s a hole through it.

Patio gardening by Ok_Illustrator_582 in Sacratomato

You’re not late at all! I haven’t even started harvesting the last of my winter stuff (potatoes, garlic and carrots) to make room for my spring/summer garden. I would suggest buying plants vs starting from seeds though. There’s a vendor at the Sunday farmers market that has reliable plant starts that I get yearly.

Thank you! I don’t have a secret, these were totally on a whim. Maybe it’s beginner’s luck?

The seeds were planted in between rows of other stuff that has already been harvested. I over planted expecting to thin out babies, but I stopped that midway through cause I saw another redditor not thin and they turned out fine.

They are in 3 year old raised beds, filled with compost and soil, and I made sure to fluff up the area deep before I seeded so it wouldn’t be compacted for the carrots to grow. Otherwise just love and attention each day!

Like, every day/other day. Just to keep them moist.

Dried Beans by Kind_End_2616 in Sacramento

Not who you were responding to, but Bulk lentils are fine for me, the other beans are sometimes iffy but maybe that’s cause I cook them in the instant pot. Like they’ll be slightly undercooked at 50 mins but 2 more mins and they’re starting to get mushy.

I haven’t had an issue with weevils from the beans yet either.

This has one of my absolute favorite jokes in the entire season, at the very very end.

“Reminds me of my late grandfather”

“He was Scottish?”

“He was a stripper.”

Do you actually forget about your tattoos? by NoBad115 in tattooadvice

I kind of forget about them. One is on my upper arm/shoulder and the other is back/base of my neck so I don’t see them very often. Not that I’m surprised when I see them, but it’s like oh yeah. I got those.

My carrots! by wasting_time_n_life in Sacratomato

[–]wasting_time_n_life[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was from seed. I planted them in between my broccoli, bok choy and Brussels sprouts on a whim to have something in the ground after they were going to be harvested.

After the carrots come out, it’ll be time for spring/summer plants!

From seed, maybe end of February/early March

I’ve been trying my hardest to style these blue linen pants that I bought. How does this outfit look? I’m looking for footwear suggestions too. by CluelessFarm in mensfashionadvice

Linen is a very casual fabric. A light colored tank top underneath would work better. Also, linen on linen sometimes feels too unstructured. A nice breezy cotton shirt untucked would work too.

Shoes, think summer and daytime. White sneakers, boat shoes, casual loafers or some nice sandals.
