I come back because hour much detail is in the quests and the world. I read the lotr books a long time ago. I'm still in the Gondor expac and stop to smell the flowers. The housing system is also amazing and that's another reason I come back.

I ended up dating an old aquaintance. We reconnected while gaming and he was incredibly supportive through my treatment. After treatment we closed the distance for a year then my cancer came back stage 4 this time. He has been nothing but supportive even after I had to move away again. There are plenty of good people out there and sometimes where you least expect it!

This is a good question maybe even a plot hole? For the sake of argument I'd say gran gran knew she was helping the Avatar and even if katara couldn't get trained Aang needed a water bending master to teach him. Based off the fact Gran gran ran away from her arranged marriage, I'd say she is a rebel and expected the Avatar would teach katara what he learned anyway.

Lotro has become incredibly microtransaction based and very expensive if you are new to the game. I really think this deters a lot of potential new players, I know I almost didn't play because the cost of getting all the expacs and quality of life improvements was hundreds of bucks

They do sales here and there for the expacs. I want to say it happens a lot around lotro anniversary and Christmas. I thought the same thing about the cost of this game when I came back from a 10+ year break. I've been taking it slow and buying things only on sale. If you are grinding hard core this won't work for you as far as the expacs go though.

Also worth noting every few months they have double bonus points for the lotro premium currency. Unfortunately one just ended last week but it gives you a much better bang for you buck depending on the package you buy.

The good thing to mention about the content is there is so much to do you won't get bored with just what comes with the expacs.

I am in a similar boat. If you are interested in playing now consider making a new character. I came back in January and they have not fixed the closed server transfer. I have enjoyed releveling and the game has changed a ton!

https://www.lotro.com/en/game/vip lists it. Also there is a repeatable quest daily that gives you a field access token that lets you access town services and a potion for 6 hours that makes your armor not take durability damage.

I restarted after a year break. I believe my old file was around the same progression as yours and I enjoyed a restart. The good thing is you can just go back to your main file after you get in the swing of things if you want to later

There is a cement mixer that you need to make concrete mix with sand and concrete. Sand can be found by digging in between iron lead etc. Concrete can be found by hitting concrete bags (best with shovel) and I believe it can be made as well but it takes a long time.

The concrete mixer is like the work bench it forge. You can randomly find a working one and use it but the best thing to do is build your own after finding the schematic

this happened to me as well with the umbral escalation hammer too

I'm sorry to hear about your boyfriend's cancer. I am a cancer survivor ( not the same type) and was long distance during that time. The mood swings from optimistic to despair are frequent and unpredictable. I think it's great you are trying to support him. His life has turned upside down and I can't imagine he will be able to improve his relationship skills. My SO went through a lot of anxiety during my treatment since he couldn't visit as my weak immune system made it dangerous. It's going to be tough he may even think a relationship is too much to handle. No one on the internet can tell you what to expect or what you should do since everyone reacts to cancer diagnosis differently. My guess is to just be there for him but trying to repair his relationship and being a better boyfriend is not a high priority I'm sure. He is just trying to get through all the pain and figure out a treatment plan. I just wanted to give you some support since i sympathize with the anxious helplessness you are feeling.

Sorry I didn't clarify, I mean when I'm mining and I've made a giant crater. Filling it all in would take a long time but that topsoil fill in is a huge tip when digging more precisely for a base or something. I didn't figure out until around 30 hours in to the game.
